Ok, here it is - the lane changed into a river, mountains adjusted, new hills and the city filling in the gaps. The library seems to be build very high though, but I cannot change that without completely changing the background, so I hope it's ok.
Also - here is a crop of the head and shoulders without the hand, from the full resolution picture, so you can crop, resize and use "unsharp mask" filter on it, as you see fit :)
I'd experiment with cropping it slightly first, then resizing - sometimes a few pixels can change the way the face in a small sized image will look, due to very low resolution of the forum portrait. If you'd like some assistance with resizing, let me know!

So you mean to have the first picture (the zoomed out one) and without the hand showing at all? That shouldn't be a problem :)

Great picture, Seeker! I like both the sketch and the colored version, the flash animation is very cool also Art!

Excellent, thank you!

The portrait crop - of course, I'll take care of it.

The background - the information is most useful. The river is actually supposed to be a lane/road in a park, but I can make it a river also, by making the banks less straight and orderly :) The buildings - I will add them as noted.

As soon as I will have an updated version I'll post it again, hopefully this weekend :)

Not yet, he's working on it. :)

Good stuff Seeker, I especially like the head and the light in the picture. It makes an excellent forum portrait as well, very strong!

Here are the first sketches for the Gondolwen portraits I'm working on for Coren. This is version 2 (reworked first sketches), taking into account Coren's first comments.
First, the head and shoulders portrait, and second the full body + home interior. All suggestions and comments most welcome. The room in the second pic is still very much empty, the idea is to furnish it with lamps, plants etc a bit. So far just been focusing on the figure and the colors.

I made an updated version over the weekend: added some vague distant mountains and some city buildings. I couln't find a description of New Santhala, so it could be all wrong of course :) How about this?
39  Santharian World Development / Santharian Artists Workshop and Resources / Re: On the steps of the Great Library on: 26 March 2010, 04:26:22
I can do Mountains or cityscape, no problem. should I?

Btw: thanks all for the comments!   :)

I added the hendi ornaments (hope it looks like something you expected, if not let me know!) and darkened the skin a bit and also made some changes to the face. What do you think? Do not hesitate to make any other requests :)

About the background - what did you think would be more appropriate?
41  Santharian World Development / Santharian Artists Workshop and Resources / Re: On the steps of the Great Library on: 10 March 2010, 05:18:16
All right! :) Here is the new version, I tried to address all the points. What do you think?
42  Santharian World Development / Santharian Artists Workshop and Resources / Re: On the steps of the Great Library on: 08 March 2010, 04:13:47
:) You're most welcome Talia, I'm really happy you like it! No need to send me presents, your reaction is reward enough :)
I have started to work on the changes, but have a few questions.
- The collar: do you mean something like this: http://media.photobucket.com/image/lists%20tunic%20collar/drago_x/SW%20Stuff/InnerTunic001.jpg?
- The background - I actually haven't planned anything, but I'll experiment with some green/trees, to fill it a bit, thanks for the idea.
- The symbol / title on the book : a symbol would be great, I just need a link to the description or a picture if you have it.

If there are other requests or ideas, let me know as well!

Hey all!

This one has been long in the making, but I finally have been able to make progress, and come to a near finished version. It still needs some more detail, like the hen'di ornaments on her handsm and maybe some patterns on the clothing. The shirt probably is all wrong as well... Anyway - all comments and requests are welcome, especially from the famous compendium writer herself! Talia, what do you think?

Oh, and I have no idea how the Great Library (steps) look like, hope they have some giant bull statues up there somewhere ;)

P.s. this is a scaled down version, for the viewing, the original is about 3x this size.

Thanks :) I too think drawing hands is not necessary - all the descriptions contain the sizes, so after you read an antry it shouldn't be necessery.
45  Santharian World Development / Santharian Artists Workshop and Resources / Re: Remusian Warsword illustration on: 06 August 2009, 03:52:41
I have decided to keep the background as it is.
