Thanks a lot for your comments Lord Federkiel.  For now at least we'll be releasing them regularly on Saturdays (that's all going to change when I get a job...)

I'm glad that you though we were all in the same room- shows that we've achieved some sense of conversation.  In reality we had one guy in Massachusetts, one in Penslyvania, and one in Enlgand (Surrey I think). we used skype to communicate- and we all just press record at the same time on our home computers.  Seems kind of Barbaric, dosent it ?!

Hope you have the time to regularly do it, as I have all my hands full with the site alone, so I couldn't imagine doing something like that
Well as you know we are horibly negligant when it comes to updating our site  buck

Again, thanks for your kind words.

ug, here here.  I'm in the middle of this obnoxious process myself.  Looking for a fulltime position for the first time in 24 years.

Good luck to you!

aura points? Cool, do I keep my own tally?  Or are they more like the points on "who's line is it anyway?" :D

I can make it loopable- that will be a new thing for me.  As for your comments- do you mean that the rest of it should have more of the first half's feel or the second?  If you'd like I could make it more homogenously threatening.  Actualy I'm used to writing combat music more like the second half forgames.  But I figured that the tone of the first half better fits the more methodical feel of turn based combat- But I'm flexilbe.

The arena idea sounds like fun though.  Sounds like a game that I'd play on addicting games or something like that.  I liked the uninvited module btw- I thought that it was very effective, particularly in the sound department.  Though for the record I totaly guessed the ending early on  azn

Well, it's been a while hasnt it? But here we are.  And after all that I'll have to show for it is a little work in progress.

It was intended to be a battle track for Santhworld.

Hi everyone,

It is I, Macar from "Realms of Renth: Nirune" once again.  Some of you will probably remember me from my compositions that I did for your project.  Sorry I havent been here in ages, but I was very busy with school (and now I'm done and I have a useless Masters degree!)

Anyway- I just wanted to update everyone on what we're up to in Nirune.  For those of you who dont know of us- Realms of Renth: Nirune is a project whose goal is to build a Videogame RPG with an engrosing and detailed world as well as gameplay.  Santharia was a huge source of inspiration to us both in scope and orginization.  We're going strong now for about the third year running (maybe the fourth, I lose track).  Slowly but surely we're making porgress on the actual game, but lore development is growing very quickly all the time.

The biggest news, which prompted my post here is that we just released our first Lorecast.  We realized that the ammount of Lore we have in our forums is staggering and somewhat intimidating to new members (I'm sure you can relate to this feeling- but you guys have your info better organized than us!)  So, to help people get aquainted we decided to try a podcast where we discuss lore topics.  We're planning to try this weekly, so if you are interested in hearing more we should have another up next Saturday.

Also, we'd love to hear any feedback- this is our first time and we're still finding our way!

I'll see if I can come up with a more narrative version then.  I may just cut the intro.  Also, I'll give it a try sometime, to see what you mean.

Would you like some tense combat music? (something in the vein of "orcish brutality") I thought when I was playing the game yesterday that the combat music seemed a little calm- mind you that with the turn based combat it does tend to be a little calmer and more methodical, but still combat is always high stakes.

Maybe something tense but not quite as much as orc. brut.?

Glad to hear my music is still being used (I'll have to check it out)

As for my banner not working- we moved to a new domain and server.  I was going to wait to announce it because we're soon to update our forum software and to add some material to the site (It kills me that I dont have the know-how to just do it myself or it would be done now  angry ) anyway- if you want to find us in the meantime: www.realmsofrenth.com

Aaand, here's something new.  It's an attempt at the long ago requested theme for Nolan.  However, if that's already been written I hope you'll find something else to use it for:

Dear Santharians,

I still live and have not forgotten you.  Times have been busy, and Nirune has been consuming the little free time that I have.  I'm comming up on a break of sorts and I'm hoping to make the time to write a piece or two for you.

Love,
His Frojnel Klompesty, Macar Irandir

That sounds like fun- I'd like to poke around with the idea when I get some time again.

As for the first piece being scattered, I'm not suppirzed to hear that- as I wish I had put more thought into it: I'm trying to write more intelegently lately.  But I'm supprized you dont think the first part goes with the introduction, as I see it as a variation on the same idea.  It's the end- basicly the stuff I added after the WIP I posted that I feel like got tacked on without the proper integration.  (and btw- I thought of the harpy joke too- but I decided to spare everyone :P )

I agree with what you said, Artimore, about the integration of music.  Maybe someday I'll invest the real time I need to in learning Santh-lore.  As of now, I'm woefully uneducated, and I guess that's why my pieces dont always know where they want to go- lorewise. :(

a paired poem could be a nice enhancement. If you are inspired to write one, please feel more than free! (I'm assuming you meant poem when you said literary peice- rather than an essay or something :P)
