Before seeing your reply I came up with something that sounded to me like calm background music for a castle.  I was going to add orchestral accompaniment- but I kind of like it simple like this.

So you want the main theme to be dark and ominous?  Intersting- my general feelings about santharia are much more light and happy.  In fact- the happiest music I've ever written was done for this project :P (I think that Jeryall music was my peak of happy music)

I'm glad you like it.

I have lots of peices that would be probably be suitable for background music.  I'll have a look when I get home- as I'm just on break at work now.

Of course, I'm always up for writing something new... around 2 minutes enough?

I did say ,"it's going to get a lot more stormy than this before the end."  And that's what I meant- the opening is supposed to just be the majesty of the sae- soon I'm going to put a storm inthe music- and I have an idea or two of how I'm going to do it.

Just incase I wasnt clear- this is a WIP.  It's not even half finished.

The door bursts open suddenly, and a hunched figure emerges.  His hair is caked with dust and his eyes are bloodshot, squinting after far too long spent laboring by candle light.  Clutching a smiudged manuscript in his hand, the old man raises it triumphanly and as says, "At last- it's... well.. started"

Howdy follks, mayhap you were wondering what had happened to me?  Mayhap I have been forgotten all togehter, but no- you couldnt forget me ;)  Anyway- school was rough but now it's done; but for the first time ever I'm not taking summer break off- I'm working basicaly every day.  Still, I have a lot more idle time than I did when I was in school- but I've squandered it untill now.

Here, I present the first minute of another movement of my gods' suite.  This one is for Baveras, the lady of the sea.  I'll let the music speak for itself except to say it's going to get a lot more stormy than this before the end.  Baveras has a temper.  Any ideas for a title?

I like  ms. Facingleft, I think the background scenery is clearer in that one.  But both are absoultely stunning- easily good enough to be a book cover or something- I guess that dsoent sound like a compliment but it's meant to be  rolleyes

You know, documentaries are a possiblity!  I'm currently working on a "documentary" for Realms of Renth (my other project).  I'll be shure to show everone when I'm done- but I'm just making it with Windows Movie Maker.

Well, I can upload directly to the forums in the future if you'd like, just trying to save you some server space  :D

Are you sure you can do that with putfiile?  I seem to recall that direct linking was against thier rules- but I could be wrong.

I'm not sure I understand what you meant about the music page- about round borders.  I would like to see it organized like the library though, instead of linking to a page on another part the website, where I occassionaly cant find the file :P

glad you like it.  With spring break comming up, I can probably get a start on a new movement- keep your ears peeled.

Glad you enjoyed it!  I'm currently trying to decide which godess from the water set to do next.  I'm thinking that this one will be last in the set- with the other two pieces being more serious.  I think I'll start with the set dreaming godess (I'm forgeting names here) and then I'll put the healing godess in the middle.

43  Organization and General Discussions / Announcements and Web Design / Re: German-question :) on: 11 March 2008, 11:59:59
It's always interesting to see English speakers using the formal "Sie" rather than the personal "du" - in English there's only a "you", whether you talk to a president or a buddy... In German Forums people use the "du" however more often, the formal stuff sounds a bit weird... lol

Anyway, copyrights of course always remain with the creator, Macar - so no problem from my side at all of course :)

It's funny that you should mention that.  I don't know if you are aware, but English used to have a formal/informal pronoun distiction- but it became extict around the 17th century.  Funny enough- the formal pronoun was "you" and the informal was "thou".  Nowadays since people only see "thou" in poetry or the bible, they think of it as incredibly formal- when the oposite is true :P

PS- I only used sie because of babelfish.  I probably would have used "du" if I had been trying to come up with my own words- since it sounds more like "you" :D

Sie können meine Musik verwenden, wenn Sie zu wünschen. Solange sie ist mit Arty okay.

Heh- Incase babelfish has produced it's usual nonsense- that's my consent :)
45  Santharian World Development / Santharian Artists Workshop and Resources / Re: Bard Judith's top secret project... on: 27 February 2008, 22:54:15
Very cool- totaly makes me think of clasic enya.  Actualy, it makes me think of "Sail away" :D

Quote
It definitely has an Enya-esque feeling to it, if I'm not mistaken it also reminds somewhat strongly of a LOTR piece, but I don't know precisely which.

Maybe the song "May it be"  which is a LOTR song by enya  azn
