Aren't there only 8 spirit dragons?

I still don't think you're understanding the system, Darren. It takes exertion to manipulate the Aura, so it is tiring to cast powerful magic. Or any kind of magic, depending on how good you are.

And please, just use Water mage. It's confusing enough already.

No, Darren. The Essence is the raw energy of the Aura. Read Art's essay, it's very nice at explaining. Basically, it's the straight form of the Aura instead of the 'mundane' energies.

What I meant by "Weavers magic is different from human magic" Is that they don't manipulate the Aura with spells. They use their hands. And that was a rather early discussion on it, too. And that isn't anywhere in the final entry on Weavers, for that matter. If you want final info, go to the entry.

I'm pretty confident that I know where that comes from, the discussion on if Weavers should be allowed to learn non-Weaver magics or not. I lost that fight, too, if you'll note.

I'll reread what you have when I get home, but there are already two things you'll need to change to get it incorporated with the Aura, and Sorren in general.

1.)More Detail
2.)Lose the Holy/Evil crap. That's the realm of Clerical magic.

There isn't a difference between Weaver magic and Resonance magic. Resonance magic -is- Weaver magic. That's what non-Weavers called it way back when there was a breach in security. Now, though, there are only a few books with references to Resonance magic. Two being obscure references in ancient tomes in the Library of Ximax. Another is the book Tarq has with him. Still, it's mainly forgotten, but the name that non-Weavers gave it is still an ongoing joke among the Weavers.

Basically, it was viewed by ancient magi as dangerous and unstable, and is only remembered by some scholars devoted to ancient magical lore. Of course the Secret Holders all know the name Resonance Magic and use it to discuss Weaver matters in public, without alertying anyone. It would simply seem like their discussing nonsense.

Hope that helps.

Well, as I said, clerical magic is still in debate.

But I don't think you understand, Darren. They do different things, yes, but with the same stuff. All Wizardly magic is a manipulation of a certain part of the Aura. Mentalism, Weaving, all of it.
