Finally, someone comes around ^_^

Do I have permission now to continue my revision?
3  Organization and General Discussions / Newbie Information, Joining Requests and Recruitment / Silarna Dragon Revision Request on: 17 June 2008, 05:57:16
I had posted this query before in my welcome thread, but none responded. undecided So, if I may ask once more, do I have permission to create/revise the entry of the Lunar Dragon? I remember signing up to revise it.

Thank you in advance!

(nods) If it is permitted, may I work on the Lunar Dragon? I've a rough draft written under the Bestiary already.
5  Santharian World Development / The Santharian Bestiary / Sílarná Dragon [Updated] on: 15 January 2008, 08:24:52
Despite this being a work in progress, suggestions are welcome.

Overview: The Sílarná Dragon, otherwise remembered as the Lunar Dragon, is the distant relative to the now extinct Injèrá Dragon. Like their ancient predecessors, it derives strength from the ever-changing phases of the moon, and possesses a scholarly knowledge of Caelereth’s forgotten lore.

Appearance: Despite the slight difference in size between male and female, the Lunar Dragon averages at 22 peds lengthwise with a leanly muscled serpentine body and reflective scales that fade from regal azure to opaque white. Granted enormous iridescent wings nearly longer than the length of their body, it enables the dragon to fly great distances – specifically during the full moon; it has been speculated that the Lunar Dragon’s body can absorb moonlight in order to provide amplified physical and magickal strength. Its hind feet allows for leaping and perching, along with sharp three-clawed toes for additional grip. Its forepaws however, consist of five clawed fingers naturally engraved with arcane symbols to enable use of the lunar element. Each Lunar Dragon is born with tribal marks that adorn the scales, signifying rank within a clan; as the dragon grows older, the clan-like runes alter to reflect their rising or falling social status.

Special Abilities: The Lunar Dragon, like many of the Great Drakes, has the ability to breathe fire. While very few have seen one emit flames and smoke, it’s considered that the blaze is a shimmering substance resembling moonlight in terms of aesthetic appearance, but still fatal as a smoldering factor. Also, due to its high intelligence, it can perceive and speak other languages quite easily; generally their native tongue is a combination of esoteric vernacular and gestured movements, often using rune-like inscriptions.

Lunar Rune Creation. A Lunar youngling is taught the beautiful art of lunar runes that was the result of many ages of tradition among their kind. Not only are they a form of writing, but lunar runes enables the Dragon to create magickal seals whether it’s for marking territorial boundaries to designing astral charts.

Well, I try and try again...just takes time to see my mistakes.

(nods sagely) Thank you, I appreciate your suggestions. I'll try to remember that in the near future while I'm here in Santharia :)

Figured that this entry should prove useful, expanding on the Army of the Sophronian Women, during the Wandering Years.

Quote
Each woman wore leather hip high boots. Hidden inside each boot was a needle sharp throwing knife they called the "Twins". They also wore a short middle thigh leather skirt with breeches underneath. Hidden on the inner thighs were another pair of knives which were called "Chastities". The women also wore elbow length leather gloves that also held another pair of knives they called "Mauraders". Finally often a bow, quiver of arrows and a short sword slung over their backs can be found at Sophronian women.

"Twin" throwing knives Description: Otherwise known as the 'Fatal Duo', the blades of the throwing knives are needle sharp...tapering to a dart-like point. The material used to create it is Orcrystal, enabling the weaponsmith to give the throwing knives a sleek precision once thrown. Concerning the guard of the knives, it is styled to resemble a pyramid-form wrapped in Injohue-colored leather, once more attributing to the throwing accuracy. Ranged Weapon. (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/c/cd/Fairburnsykes_colour4.jpg/800px-Fairburnsykes_colour4.jpg)

Chastities Description: A larger version of the "Twins", the guard speficially styled to resemble a crescent moon, while the blade is made of a strong metal. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seax)

Mauraders Description: Of similar form to the Chastities, given the same guard style and forging material. Serves its purpose as near-melee knives, tipped with poison. Only a mere scratch is needed from the blade to poison the victim.

Bow and Arrow Description: Known to the women as the 'Sophronian Longbow', it is curved slightly, made of Arne'pheran wood (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/f4/Longbow.jpg/800px-Longbow.jpg). Leather is wrapped around the ends to keep the bow from bending too far. The arrows, also made from the same tree, are tipped with Orcrystal and a deadly poison, offering a great percent of accuracy.

Short Sword: Forged from a strong metal, the sword is slightly curved at the end of the silver blade, similar to the modern Arabic Saif (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saif). The pommel bears a series of tribal creatures devouring one another, with the guard being shaped like a celestial figure.

Once more, if my assumptions to give my creativity for this particular topic is wrong...please correct me.

Greetings,

I happen to wonder if this site will need my creativity for Fantasy World Creation. I'm pretty adept at creating Races, languages, plants, spells/magic and the like ^_^

As you will see, I've already posted my three topics on Sophronian Nomenclature, so I hope this will help!

Keep up the good work, all you writer's out there apart of Santharia.
