2  Organization and General Discussions / General Santharian Discussions / Where to begin? on: 15 December 2005, 15:33:00
Hello, fellow dreamers. I have navigated around the site and now have a query. Where should I start? Is there a portion of the site that needs updating? Where is the need greatest for I shall help there.

Good quote Curgann. I thought I used that one:biggrin
Or at least, ment to :lol .
Just one note: the actuall wording of Gandalf's quote:
“Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends.”
Still, excellant quote.

Tookie Williams.... I gennerally do not approve of the way the Death Penelty is handeled. Killing 4 people. That may deserve life in prison. You may become redempt. But bieng a principal role in the killing of 1000s, ripping families apart, causing untold numbers of people to become addicted to illegal drugs, including Heroin, Marijuanna, crack.... Can one ever truly be repetant? I don't know.... but his sentance is to be carried out wether I, Art, Marvin, or anyone else likes it or not.

On a lighter note, I saw the scariest thing in LA I while ago. Arnolds picture on a billboard, staring menicingly, with the caption "Buy it Now". Could the Government be endorsing Hollywood?

5  Organization and General Discussions / Non-Santharian Stuff: Life, the Universe & Everything / Boxing Day on: 31 December 2005, 09:40:00
For my family (Canadian), boxing day is "officially" the day you give all the service-people a break (grocers, mailmen, etc.). Of course, my mom prefers to see it as the day when you spend your christmas $$$ and get angry at relatives for buying cheap presents when you see 'em 90% off!

Merry Belated Christmas!
Happy Boxing day!

Mabye Ill try my hand at poetry...
(Im much better at war poems, anti-war, or pro-war)

The snow falls
With the viel of mystery
Replaced by wonder
As the paper is torn aside
Santa Claus and Rudolph
Lays on the Floor
Next to Gold
And Ribbions
And Toys

9  Organization and General Discussions / Announcements and Web Design / Help! Help! my name...... on: 26 December 2005, 19:26:00
Hello all. I was just wondering, does your user name HAVE to match your char. name? You see, the charecter I had in mind earlier isn't going to work out. I'd like to keep my post count if possible, but...
Even just dropping the "Lord of Brukdule" and capitalizing "Korivol" would be great. Thanks!

"Well, time to swallow your pride, Korivol," muttered the elf. Walking over to the orc, he handed him a package. Inside was a bow. "I made it," announced Korivol. "The pull should be perfect for an orc of your strength. You may be an Orc, but you're still a dreamer. For that, you have my respect."

*Hmmph. An Orc. Climbing to one of the most elaveted positions in Santharia. I don't like it. Dont like it at all.*
This is what Korivol thinks to himself, remebering countless times green people like Grunok have attacked his small realm of Brukdule. *Ahhh, but all deserve a second chance. And if Artimodor trusts him.... so do I.* Korivol grabbed a flagon of elven wine and sipped it from his own wooden chalice. He may not trust Grunok, but why should good spirits be wasted?

12  Organization and General Discussions / Newbie Information, Joining Requests and Recruitment / Overwhemled on: 24 December 2005, 12:45:00
Greetings, dreamers. Recently, I have begun work on two projects: a beastiary entry and a new tribe. However, I have found the amount of research overwhelming. It seems the more I research, the more questions I have. Santharia is quite an complicated, amazing and intertwined world, yet these qualities that attracted me to it in the first place are now pushing me away. Do not read this as a resignation letter. Rather, I would take this oppurtunity to resubmit my request for a mentor.

Very well then. I'll look around begin my biography./myth/creature, then return here with news. May the flame always be your friend.

14  Organization and General Discussions / Newbie Information, Joining Requests and Recruitment / A Task for the Brave Mentors on: 12 December 2005, 19:28:00
Hello Mentors. I am Korivol, Lord of my own forest dwelling, brukdule. I come here to seek a teacher, a mentor if you will. This may not be an easy task, for I have much to learn. Yet please brave souls, accept me, for I have much wanting to create in the following areas:
Beastiary
People
Martial Arts
Equipment
Mythology
Races
These are my areas of expertise. I beg one of you to step forth and accept me. Coren FrozenZypher, I see You do not have an apprentice yet. And Alysse the likly, you seem like a wonderful teacher. Farewell all. Bright Blessings.

15  Santharian World Development / Santharian Artists Workshop and Resources / Re: Reserving Proposed Entries on: 16 December 2005, 15:47:00
Chchip beastiary, small animals, rodent
Claimed by: Korivol, Lord of Brukdule
Idea/Proposal: A small brown rodent, shaped like a ball. Very agile with strong forelegs. It lives in deserts, underground. It feeds on any desert plant it can find, and will sometimes (but rarly) eat smaller animals.
