Oops sorry. Uploading new version now.

Believe it or not, I have finished it. Sorry for taking so long (again, sigh).

No need to, I'm alive, just very busy right now, sorry :P. The pic is sloooooowly progressing.

Thanks all for the comments!

About the light, I was going to do something like the spotlight effect you mention, some ray of light directly from above, with leaf shadows over his body and the tree branches in the foreground, keeping the background more misty and desaturated. But the scattered light probably fits better the jungle setting, and it will give it a more humid, swampy look, so I'll try that and see how it goes.

And the boleadora, well, the cord length was only chosen for the composition to be honest  grin. I wanted the spheres aligned with the up-left down-right diagonal. But I understand they should be tense, you know, centrifugal force an all that.  nerd

Oh, and I don't know if this is the proper channel for typo reporting, but there's one in the "Colours and Hues of Caelereth" flash thingy: "Santhran Viloet" instead of "Violet".

Update:

Some colours added, though it's still sketchy, specially the background. Anyway, if you see some colour that shouldn't be there / be different, tell me:

Marsh-oak then, that way I can add some waterfruit trees in the background and have a couple of trees present.

The balyei will replace the bats and the yepran toad instead of the snake, all very exotic.  grin

Ziron, could you send me that link to the drawing please?

I could add some small animal clinging to the foreground branch in the lower right corner, but it should be not very bright, actually, it should be almost camouflaged with the brown/greens of the branch. The toad is too flashy to be there, though it could replace the snake, if the rosesnake is wrong for this jungle.

Wonderful portrait Faugar! You can feel the smooth texture of the dress and its weight. worship

Glad I'm not the only one who takes ages to finish pictures devilish

Here he is, still sketchy I know, but I have some questions about flora and fauna before proceeding.

- Can he be standing on a waterfruit tree? The description says they are quite dense, so anything larger than a cat has some difficulty entering. On the other hand, these guys are supposed to be very nimble... If not possible, any suggestions for a good tree to make him stand on?

- Though they are not very visible right now, I was going to add a snake on a tree branch, and some bats flying in the background mist. Is a rosesnake OK? And about the bats, anything I should know about the eiqui'ris bats apart of their large size? They have no entry yet I think.

- Also, there's going to be some strangling vines there. But if there's any other plant you want, I'm open to suggestions.

And of course, let me know if the guy needs any change :)

Thanks for the link! I'll start doing the buttons and reading the Ter'ei'vikh and all related entries: plants and animals that could appear and such.

Artimidor, do you have a specific list of buttons that need to be done, and the size they should have?

Sure, anything that is not very urgent though, so I can take my time.  grin

No idea, but with the time it has took me to finally deliver it, I would prefer if we consider it just another piece of those I do for free. guilty

Thanks Grunok, glad you like it!

Artimidor, I have uploaded the full sized version as serphelorian.jpg

Another version. Let me know if it needs further tweaking. I added some clutter along the river coast, to make it look more busy  grin.

Artimidor, I have uploaded the picture in its original size, and without the woman (and the halberd pole), so you can crop it and use the mountains anywhere else. It's "serph_mountains.jpg". As soon as I have some time I'll make all the changes, there's an older version yet in my hard drive with the hills I think.
