@Talia: Given that you seem to be in objection to anything I do with regards to R'unor, I think I can be excused for making the assumption that this matter isn't something personal.  From where I stand, the changes to this creature are necessary. I've restricted the Ska'kalin to R'unor so that both the animal and the area remain unique, in the original spirit of the territory.

@Coren: At the moment my priority is that R'unor be coherent and well integrated. Having two creatures with the same name and shape running around is not in the interest of that.

Talia I am beginning to wonder if you just have a problem with any revision or with the person writing the revision in particular.

Also, Ath pointed out to me that I managed to transpose the I and L in the name, that's been fixed.

Dek, would you mind if I tied Odelve into this idea of yours. He's been a little lacking in direction and this would be a great aid to finishing that one (which I've only had lazing around since april). And you mentioned linking him to the greenthumb/green hands condition of yours.
Just some food for thought. If Odelve doesn't suit it I'd be happy to toss around a few ideas with you and perhaps work something out.

A month later when I finally get to this, but perhaps "Hammer Witch" might suit the type of craft that you're getting at slightly better. Chisel witch seems to limit the type of craft this group uses to just wood.

I'll admit no special reason beyond the fact that I can't think how they'd get from one place to another, assuming they had to originate somewhere.

Should be good to go now. Unless we want more detail in the entry.

Please feel free to respond to these if you have thoughts, if possible, please keep to my numbering system.
1 Traveling groups who see hobbits traveling in such way and their reactions to/relationship with them.

2 Would chefs from other races want to be involved in it?
It might be considered something prestigious, a sort of informal honour for a chef to be permitted to be involved, assuming they pass the test that is cooking for a group of hungry halfling travellers.

3 Would hobbits be likely to allow outsiders to be part of it?
Halflings are fairly genial and friendly folks. I don't think random strangers might be involved but if you had a link to one of the travellers or to someone in the shire you might be able to participate.

4 Blessed tale characters?
I'm sure we could work something out. I'd suggest Mian here but he might not fit. Drop me a PM and we'll talk!

5 How would other races (especially Mullogs) likely react to this happening?
Humans might worry about the sudden influx of hungry halflings in the area.

6 I have the idea swimming around in my head of the name of the people doing the travelling being referred to as either Feastrekkers of Feastrekkies either by each shire (eg one shire calls them Feastrekkers and the other one calls them Feastrekkies) or by people who aren't the hobbits. Yeah, a rather obvious easter egg there.
This is pretty nifty.

Solved!
9  Santharian World Development / Magic in the Lands of Caelereth / Re: Pin's Point and other Findings on: 25 August 2012, 20:13:46
Quite well, since I managed to find the time to finish it! (At least I think so!)

Chloroform or something like it was at one point known as "ether" I believe?

I'd love to be able to get my hands on something like this. Eagerly awaiting the chance to play with a santhworld editor.

So a sort of abridged compendium?
Federkiel's Almanack perhaps?

I believe the two diseases are dis-similar enough in symptoms and region that it should work.
I think Mira and I just both happened to start from malaria or other insect borne illness. I'll probably restrict the range of this illness a little more, having found a similar one.

Actually, the idea with a searcher's stew was that it would just draw the imbiber, with a sense "from the gut" as it were. I'll be sure to include that.

The intention with the pin bauble comment (under materials) that seems to have vexed you was that one uses the pin that is used to make the pin bauble in order to transfix the resulting charm.

For example: if the pin bauble is made using a sock as the base, the witch would sew odds and ends of thread and cloth to it with a needle. Once she is done, she could use any old pin to finish the bauble and make a focus, but ideally it would be the needle that she used to sew the bauble that is used to finish the crafting, since that particular pin might already be connected to the working of the spell itself.

I'll try to make that more clear when I make edits though.

I've added a little more, hopefully you don't mind Shaba!
