Who else is a little bit OCD? I've found myself rearanging the cans at the grocery store so they make a more even pattern. Anyway, Aura point from me.

EDIT: Drat, it won't let me give people aura points, probably because I've been gone so long.

I was scared by ducks as a child, (true). On the other hand, I believe that is when I learned, that if you simply take a neutral attitude, most creatures will leave you alone. Ducks won't though. If you want ducks to leave you alone, you have to chase them, (if you dare).

From the Misty Swamps and Dank Depths it came. The Demon Cry, the Voice of Doom. *Quaaaaaaaaaaack*

:wave:Hey y'all. I'm back in black and back in action. Sorry I was gone for so long. We lost our house, and the new place we moved to couldn't get DSL. We were ofline for a while, and it looked like our only option was dialup (Yuck! sigh). But we ended up getting Satelite internet, which is ok, except that sometimes I have to reload a page several times before it works. Anyway, I'm eager to read up on all I missed, and hopefully get back in the flow.

Hi guys! My family just moved, and while we love the new place, and we're really glad to get it, there's one thing I hadn't bargained on. NO INTERNET! I'm getting withdrawal symptoms already. *Must ... check ... email. Must ... have ... internet.* Anyway, I won't be able to get on much at all until we can get this fixed. We're thinking about getting sattelite internet, since DSL isn't available at the new place, but it probably wont be till August or September.  cry angry

Hi, sorry it's taken so long, I've been gone for a while. I'll look through everything again, and make the changes. I'll have to check, but I think when I mentioned "the dreamer" I was referring to the one who dreamed up the stars, and then the idea of taking the battle to the darkness. For the song, I could either do an old song in the public domain, a song I previously wrote, leaving out the words, or I could record the song "A Centorarian went Yodelling", which was put up with the other counting songs.

How do the young spiders travel when searching for a tree of their own? Do they run along the ground? Use some form of "ballooning"? Or do they just wait until their parents get tired of letting them live at home rent free, and find a new tree for them? grin

I'd been wondering why I hadn't gotten any comments, until I realized that I hadn't put the right sign up. Anyway, feel free to say your piece.

Thanks very much. Sorry it took me so long to get this done. I'm glad I did however, because while fixing it, I found several things that I had thought were already fixed. If anyone else has suggestions or comments, say on.

Just bringing this back up to the top of the stack. Does anyone have any comments, questions, problems, ideas, or random thoughts?

One thing you might look into. The Victorian's did some amazing things with clockwork. All the way from a self playing pianos to the original "Flea Circuses". Springs might be a lot easier to make than bolts, and there are so many things you can do with them.

Perhaps even political pressures brought to bear to threaten war. I don't know exactly how much governmental clout the guilds have, but I'm sure that whatever they have will be brought to bear.

I think this is a great idea. One thing that could either hurt it, or perhaps help to define it, is that medieval guilds would not be happy with this. Guilds are based upon "guild secrets" which are held close, are the sole property of that guild, and are passed down as apprentices learn their trade. Guilds, (at least in RL) were not happy with a free flow of information, and would be horrified with the idea that someone else could work out and disseminate their secret processes. Above all, they are/were not happy with change. The exceptions would be the paper makers guild, and the scribes guild, at least as long a printing press weren't discovered, as this would put business their way.

Happy (late) Birthday, Art. ("And many more, on Channel 4"). Judith, it could be just me but his hand looks a little akward. I've been told that hands are the hardest part to do.

He looks like I've always imagined Edgar Alan Poe! I can almost hear a caw of "Nevermore!" It's really funny how different people can look at the same thing and see differently. When I read "The Raven", I thought, "psycho!", but my brother felt he was satirizing his own poems. Anyway, very nice.
