The only thing I would change is the description and fighting style. The bit at the end about the blade being parallel makes me think more like what I had drawn. Maybe something like..

The head is made of two blades that together make a near circle, intersected in the middle by a point used for thrusting.

Then just add the thrusting/shield catching bit in the fighting style.

Alright no more from the peanut gallery I will let you do yer thing now.

YES! Ok that was alot closer to what I was origionally aimin' fer. Maybe I just got confused, but by the descriptions givin' the other is what it sounded like it was turnin' into. My origional idea was just like the Half-Moon but bigger y'know but the addition of the point in the centre is a wonderfull concept. The only change I would make to what you show is to have the points of the crescent by the haft not come in so close. So that it could grab a shield easier.

P.S. don't worry aboy givin' me pressure. P.P.S. Did you do that pic yerself it is masterful.

Hmm maybe if you shortened the crescent angle. So that instead of being nearly a circle it is more like, say a boomerang? but agled slightly to allow the iside edge to catch the shield does that make sense? Here is a horrible rendition but this is what I am thinking we are getting at. EDIT Ok really bad maybe angled just a bit more or shorten the lower tip. EDIT AGAIN I'm jus' gonna pull that thing out now that i know what we got goin on.

Sorry Thodin fer not gettin' to ye sooner. Life decided t' reach out and grab me by the throat. Alright I ain't no good when it comes to grammer and whatnot so I'm not gonna try to work on that. As to the rest it all looks really good.

My only thing is when thinking of this weapon I still think of the axe head to be the same as the thrown version. You ever play Morrowind? If so kinda like the Dwemer Battle axe.
Anyway I disagree with Valan on the difficulty of weilding. I don't think it would be any more awkward than any other two headed battle axe.

So if ye change that then the only other thought I had was fer fighting style. With the tips of the crescent facing the wielder they would be ideal for catching an opponents shield and pulling them off balance. Then they could thrust back foward and cause much damage, or if as trong enough thrust decapitation.

7  Santharian World Development / Miscellaneous / Re: Morgerim/The Mortalon/Battle Axe on: 21 July 2009, 01:08:24
I wouldn't consider it plagiarising since I suggested he do it. Either name sounds good to me 'cause I didn't use Mortalon with the Half-moon (sounded too noble).

Thanks fer catching that Seeker. I had mentioned the flowers being in the upper regions to avoid eating the seed carriers but failed to mention how they got up there. The flowers grow in the upper regions while the traps lay on the ground.

Oh, and aceed is the Santh spelling.
