Thanks Artimidor! Great to see it makes sense. ^_^ I'll do a heap of research when I get home from dinner. One question, where should I post this idea after it's finished? Races and tribes?
I've got the actual idea of it in my head and I believe it would fit best with the elves, more prominently, the Ahrim. The Arhim use many different types of weaponry, therefore this style could adapt well. The style isn't just about hitting with your fists. This fighting style uses two daggers, one in each hand, held in a reverse grip (so that the blade is pushed against the back of your arm. It is a very fluid style used to knock your opponent off balance and take advantage of that. It uses grabs and holds and therefore some only use one dagger.
Most of the actual style is about energy redirection and defence and to strike when there is an opening. The one thing I'm concerned about is the Ahrim are elves and I'm not sure if this style would be accepted amongst them as I don't know much about them. The style needs work and I've been defining it in my head. Soon, I'll write up a full and proper description if you like but, it will be better then this as this is the basic outline.
If this doesn't fit in with Santharia tell me and I'll find something else to do.
Are you young and fancy-free? Elderly and experienced? Wise in the ways of the RPG or Compendium, or brand-new to the Forums? Good with a paintbrush, skilled with a quill, gifted in making music? Do you like dogs or cats? Or growing things? Would you know anything about dwarves, or would you prefer to work alongside an elven researcher? Are you allergic to kao-kao, or can't live without it?
No comment. Been roleplaying for years. Never done a compendium, brand new to these forums. I can draw, I play guitar. I write. I prefer dogs but lolcats are much more amusing. Dwarves are obviously much more powerful. () I'm assuming kao-kao is some type of plant here in Caelreth. But I have been reading up on this place.
Well, I'd like to develop a type of fighting style more fluid then the orcish fights. I haven't seen any other types.
