Hi, this is actually Alysse's husband at work.  Our home internet connection is on the blink so she cannot be on line at this point.  She is desolate, in despair and suffering greatly, and not quietly.  :)

She hopes to be back on line soon.

Hello Mike! - Thanks for keeping us informed :) Let's hope for the best that your internet connection can be restored so that you don't have to endure a wailing wife ;)

I'm BACK!

And SOME people are going to have their armour melted down for blood rings if they don't watch it...(mutters dire Kuglimz insults and threats under her breath)

And as for Mira's comment, well...(starts making plans to develop Santharian herbicides)

But I forgive everybody because I'm so happy to be back on line--even Mike--so there is a general amnesty THIS time.

Now, what'd I miss...?!

Could it be, that you have moved Chondra slightly when you did the Manthrian map? I have difficulties when I compare the distances on both maps (one reference given). It is anyway difficult to do exact messurements , with all the  rounding errors adding.. ??

I'm not aware of moving it, but it might be that there was a certain reason for it. Chrondra surely has grown in size at the larger map. So it all might depends on where you measure it as well. You can add a bunch of dozen strals I assume at any rate due to the size of the city.

These measurements are incredible susceptible for rounding errors, or better it depends where exactly I put the pen on the map, the bigger the worse. I didn't think that the difference is up to 15% . Hopefully I will not ever fall in the hands of an Avennorian merchant who calculated his caravans wrongly because of these errors! ;)

Did you say, tha Manthria map has the same size - the same pixel resolution than the monstermap?

Yes, the monster map shows Manthria 1:1 on it (it is actually half transparent on it). So if you look at that and make the measurements there that is ideal.

Then I take that one from now on, for the bigger places, it is easier to pin down where the cities are.

You don't have other maps hiding somewhere ?

The smaller Northern Sarvonian maps have another resolution, right?

Yeah, but there exists a Northern Sarvonian monster map as well since a few weeks as requested by Azhira. It's also in Smee's map making thread, see here.

Yes, thank you, I looked for it, but didn't find it , maybe you added it later -- or I have been too tired.

Edit: i have been tired, just realised I had it already!

Has this northern Sarvonian MM the same resolution as the SMM?

What's the SMM? huh Northern and Southern Sarvonian Monster Maps at any rate have the same resolution. You could put them together. I only didn't do that because opening the file alone would be severe stress on a computers RAM resources :)
