Two clarifications:

1) The Krean live in the Twin Kingdom. The Twin Kingdom is an autonomous state under the Grand Empire of Krath. The Grand Empire of Krath consists of 7 human tribes: Krathaszar (the ruling tribe), Sharosar, Evaquis, Qualaris, Viaquis, Krean, Zhunite - and if you believe the rumours: Orihirim. The first 6 (K,S,E,Q,V,K) of these tribes - the typical 'core' of the empire - inhabit the southwestern-most peninsula of western Nybelmar: the Peninsula of Shar.

@Decipher: 'Krar' isn't a place name. It's a prehistoric tribe (that no longer exists) that conquered the Arath tribe (no longer exists) to form the Krathaszar.

2) According to Koldar's original design, we are not allowed to have brownies in Nybelmar. When I first came here I also wanted to place some in the northwest but that wasn't possible.

@Xera: I opened a different thread for your gargantuan trees & vertical tribes discussion. Please post things related to that there. This thread is reserved for Miraran's Drifting Woods project. Thanks!

My appologies for going of on wild tangents like that  worship worship worship worship

I was misplaced thinking it was farther south.

Looking at the map of Caelereth I noticed that outside of the continent of Akdor this is one of the closest areas to western Akdor. It would be interesting if some of the tribes in this area were related to a group on Akdor. This would allow you to make them to be rather unique from other tribes do to their foreign influence and very isolated for their early history.

As I think Artimidor said ,Xera, there is a fine line between a fantasy world and a fantastic. It is okay to create Huge Dragons and All Powerful Magi but not okay to put a dragon on every street and to give everybody magical powers. I think just because trees don't need planning permisson doesn't mean they can grow to thousands of feet high.

Split and merged the topics again! Let's try to keep this discussion here to prevent further moderator work...

The chance of an earthquake would be minimized by the pressence of these trees since their massive root would help hold the ground together. Since their weight is spread out over the roots they would act like snow shoes distributing the weight over a very wide region.

If we want earthquakes we make them and find a reason later, why they occured. When we don't want to have them in a certain area then they simply don't occur. :)
