The Ever-Burn Tree

This tree is about 4 peds high, its leaves are silver in color why its bark is a reddish brownish color, it has short branches protruding all over it giving the impression of a spiky silver cone from a distance, This tree, found in the rainforests of Shar can be set on fire without burning. Hence the name “Ever-Burn” tree. It is also very hard and is useful for building and such that are made to last through a siege.

Its leaves can be grinded and when mixed with milk and heated it can be an antidote that easily heals burns of any type. The particularly great thing about this potion is that the said burns will not leave a mark, a must for those who fight fires; this potion is massed produced by the kingdom of santharia for use in local fire departments.

This tree thrives only in the rainforests of Shar, not even the elves can make it grow anywhere else. This is because of an old tale that has become a piece of poetic art.

Long has she stood over Ever-Burn tree!
She who has been betrayed by flame!
She has vowed to quench the burns of others.

It tells the story of a local Witch who was
Betrayed by a fire spirit. The spirit destroyed
but she decided to merge with a tree and from this
union came the ever-burn trees!

It is short i know... VERY short....

NO

that said, let me give you a few things to consider.
1) all entries are required to follow the templates provided at each forum.
2) entries are then required to fully describe and explain their subject.
3) Trees that do not born have a reason not to burn. you have not explained this.
4) Santharia does not bathe in Nybelmarian products. Export from Nybelmar (the continent the peninsula of Shar is located on) does exist, but those  items are quite expensive.
5) We do not have fire spirits.. ( not as actual entities )
6) Only Druids can merge with trees. read the druid entry
7) new writers are asked to read up on the site first, read a few recent entries, and learn as much as possible about the place they are writing about.

that all said and done, Welcome, enjoy yourselves, and hopefully i'll be able to give better comments on a next try!

you can, providing you can come up with a good reason for the wood not to burn, write the tree.. it would be a fun addition to the woods.

I was just skimming the entry and all of Miras comments are valid about templates ECT. but you also really need to shake off all of these fantasy cliches, the Jungle tribe the Krean have a special occupation which can make things grow more rapidly, so they are alot more efficent then elves.

@ Mira: Can I just apologise for my ignorance, I have become idealistic in Coren's absence

okay, i think i might make the witch a druid,
The fire spirit is really more of a fire magic that burned her badly.... It is considered a spirit for some reason though... The essence of the druid MIGHT make it so that tree type would not burn... (her spirit would not let it)

what do you mean by "fantasy cliches?"

he meanth elves being the best herbologists in the world... in out current world, that place is debater over by Green Druids, Krean, and possibly Ter'ei'Vikh.
Anyway, Nybelmar has no Druids. and you might want to look up on druidic ways and magic, since i don;t think they use fire magic.

And yes Drasil you can. It's not bad to make a mistake once, since it;s needed to prevent the second time  :)

if you look at the world map you will understand, hopefully, that no druid in his or her right mind will ever go to the Shar.. they prefer to remain hidden in their woods anyway.

i'm not ven going to mention the fire magic , if you don't mind :P

(im not being fresh with this post)

she merged with a tree rather than die.... Somehow i doubt she was in her right mind...

although really that isnt to say that they can't so if she had a good reason i dont see why not...

Although it is a rainforest, perhaps she wanted to see more nature....

Let you assist a little bit, now that I have looked anyway:

Quote
Druids can be found virtually anywhere on Caelereth. They are mostly prevalent in Northern and Southern Sarvonia, but most Orders can be encountered in other continents as well, although they are too rare to really count, and might have other names and different agendas.

However, if the (main) developers of Nybelmar (Coren, Smith, Miranan) say, that there are none in a special area or none at all, then there are none.

As mentor of the druidic entry, I like to point out to you, that reading what merging actually is would not hurt. :D

(Merging does NOT mean the druid dies!)

Please use the template, or no one will even bother to read your submission, Miraran was very friendly to assist you so far.
