Hello, I am Rookie Brownbark, a Brownie on the rp board heading over to investigate the other side of things here

In real life I am slightly taller, 20, English, and studying French and German at uni (though currently I’m in Germany doing a year-long work placement to practice my German). I enjoy reading fantasy, particularly the works of Terry Prachett, though many others too, including most of the writers who frequent this spot

I have been pretty active on the rp board for a few months and keep thinking of random things which might work on Santharia, so I would love to try and integrate them and generally help out. I would quite like to make a horse which paces as this is supposed to be a far more comfortable gait than a trot, but the horse can still keep it up for long distances. I also had an idea for a sort of giant ant thing that could be used to guard personal possessions and be accustomed to its owner’s scent by keeping it with a pair of rather ripe smelling underwear. Oh, and I have a couple of stories which were written in the middle ages which I could translate from the ancient French, plus I’d be interested in making some Brownie gadgets… so yes, lots of ideas. Any thoughts on where to start? Or anything there that I should stay away from?

I don't really know what you should stay away from, because I haven't been to the Dev board for a few months now. :blush: But what I started with when I first came was a Bestiary entry, followed by a Herbarium entry and a rather badly written poem. I've only done 3 entries ( :blush: again), but it's quite fun destroying the plants in Miraran's greenhouse. evil

Brownie gadgets sounds cool!

back. Hey it looks like they don't have the :blush: emoticon over here...or the :graph: one either. (Possibly the later is a good thing.)

When I made my Brownie CD I found myself searching for ways of climbing trees and trying to catch a live falcon. I got round it but I would like to invent something to make it easier, plus other things too. It would be challenging as they don't use much metal. I like challenging grin

On another matter... Yay! A Browie! It's been ages since someone worked on the Brownies..

Things to stay away from:

a) My Greenhouses. They're Dangerous. Not kidding.
b) All Marmarans, especially Decipher Ziron.
c) Talia's "Apprentice Workspace", a.k.a. the Dungeon of Doom.
d) Artimidor's sock-drawer.
e) All instances of Petros singing. Trust me, you don't want to know..

Ages, ages... It wasn't that long ago, you know Mira. I might not have been very active here lately but it's still not long ago *grins*

Anyway! Welcome to the dark side of things, love. I hope you'll enjoy it here as much as the Roleplaying board. Maybe your being here will convince me to spend some more time here again and less on the RP side of things. I also hope you know who I am *grins*

Hmm.....is there anyone I shouldn't look out for? Also - Petros sings? shocked

And there was me thinking he just played 302 instruments....

@Irid - I thought I saw your name at the bottom of one of the Brownie entries! Of course I know who you are

Have a Liu'lian, one of the stinkiest, ugliest (but most delicious) fruits in Nybelmar (And it happen to be one of the 3 entries I made!) I don't trust any other entries except mine, you see. grin

Oh yes, he sings alright.... Last time he did so, it cost us all the glass in the greenhouses, and we lost fourty-six unique specimens... We're still trying to replace the latter...

and the drinks and snack are a bit on backorder i think... i called for them almost an hour ago...
