I think I am going to go with my original idea. The Aeh'Os'th'er'oc are extinct. However, modern orcs (Osther-Oc) no doubt have myths and legends of their ancestors who revered the snow falcon and made use of its feathers and talons. The practice could have been passed down over generations. So perhaps keep the mention of the Aeh'Os'th'er'oc in the past tense.

Also, does the falcon live in trees/forests or cliffs/mountains? That will make a difference where it migrates into Caaehl'heroth. I was unclear when reading the territory. Do they fly across the bay when they migrate? Or go around through the Heaths? Maybe have another species in the Heaths of Eph'denn.

Ugh! I am clueless when it comes to animals. Hence why I don't develop beasts based on real-life counterparts.

According to my timetable, the tribe splits after their civil war in 1100 b.S. I would imagine that soon after that split, the tribe died off. Maybe...

Ok. .  It might be best then to remove all mention of them, and simply put that the falcon does not travel past the Mists.

The reason being is that I do not want alot of tribes in Caaehl'heroth. The area is supposed to be remote, dangerous and mostly uninhabited. That leaves four modern tribes (Osther-Oc, Kaaer, Erpheronians, Ghostlings), two mythical tribes (Shades and Dinali) and one extinct tribe (Aeh'Os'th'er'oc). More than enough for me to play with.

Ermm, the Icelands coast is fairly small compared with Cael'heroth, 12 tribes live there - and they should not be overpopulated either..

Alt, maybe we can Squeeze some orcs in on Iol... fighting with those bluish giants ..

I will quickly go over this tomorrow, maybe we can add some details about the Himiko islands, a special nesting site in summer or something like this.

No no, not the Icelands Coast, Talia.  At the northern most tip of Caaelh'heroth is a tip of land called the Icelands of the Aes'th'er'oc, which is where we are talking about.

Thank you all for the comments.  Rayne, the one edit I did not make a change was the word Raptor.  To me, and to the dictionary, and Thesaurus, Raptor means Bird of Prey.  I have a feeling you are a child of the Jurrasic Park era and that whole Velociraptor craze.   Movies aside, however, I think that confusion will be held to a minimum; especially when read in context.

Dear Altario...  I know I'm late as so often.. so, do you want to change some parts now or later, when I'll write down the islands? 

Well, basicall I would like to have just two sentences added: something like, that there  are colonies on the southern slopes/cliffs of  most of the bigger mountains, where the snow melts entirely in  summer, maybe a big colony (maybe even bigger than the Gathorns?) on the southern slopes of one of that elevations of the mountainstocks called La Dervan Mountains, e.g. that mountain east to the 's' in this name (which name you please not use, I would like to have it remove one day), which faces the sea. I imagine a cool pic of the cliff on which they nest, diving from thee in the sea to catch fish..

I need some food for the Himiko! They don't want to eat pinnip all day!

And of course they would use the blue feathers for decorating their clothes..   and other stuff.

And another thing you could add. A special ability of your bird is, that it can hover for some time over a certain place. That could  be useful to find the blue mouse. Remember, the mouse is not often seen above the snow, but has its tunnels underneath. But it sings! And that could be the fate of some, for the falcon could dive in the snow and grab it.

Not only can it fly at great speed, dive even faster, but it can linger in the air for short periods of time, notably while fishing.

  Already got the hover ability done.

If you have specific ideas for the Whicker Islands and the Himiko, then I can put them in now.  I did not want to make up any facts for them that you would be stuck with in the future.

Yes, I know, that you have this 'hover' thing in it, I just thought you should use it to catch the mice also, not just the fish. When I read aboutit, I had the idea, that it might be useful for the mice also. Or have I missed something?

For now I have nothing else in mind for the Himiko than what I've written above.

Art, I'm sorry but I made one teeny weeny change in the entry.  It is in the Territory Section in this paragraph:

However, this bird is predominately nomadic, traveling to where the food is most plentiful.  During the autumn run of the Fire Fish (Remusian "Fallu-eck-fyrthara"), when countless numbers of these small fish migrate into the Bay of Calinth, hundreds of the Snow Falcons converge on the seashores and gorge themselves profusely to, according to some researchers, get enough body fat to make it through the long and cruel Iceland winter.

I changed the Fire Fish's name from Phyllu-eck-fyrthara to Fallu-eck-fyrthara to incorporate my new Ice Tribe language format.  I highlighted it in orange for ease of locating.
