I made this thread just to keep track of whats planned and whats in Germon Doilth. Feel free to suggest things to add if you are familiar with the themes of the region. Please note this is mainly an idea jotting thread as opposed to a list of things already developed:

- Cairnhoom

- Moh'shys (underground)

- Fenru (more so in the Lowlands)

- Mushalai (Giant Armoured Millipedes)

- As of yet unnamed swarms (reminiscent of driver ants, only the size of small dogs)

- Sylv's Shadow-teleporting apparation

- Luminite (A beautiful, rare, precious metal that has a slight luminous glow. In reality, radioactive, poisoning those who wear it. But they don't know that now do they....)

- 'Eternal Slumber' Moths (Moths whose wings are coated in a strongly narcotic powder, which when inhaled causes near instant unconciousness for various amounts of time)

- Rock Lobsters (Working Title), predatory, burrowing, aceed secreting crustaceans that eat anything up to a sheep in size.

- Crumbleweed. Nothing very remarkable, grows roots straight through solid rock, can be used for yellow dye.

- Spider X; tiny, pale-white, hundreds.

Hey Deci.

I noticed your Luminite and its effects. I've had an idea floating around my head for an ancient artifact , possibly a carved Warg head, but possibly not, which is fashioned from 'a fiery rock which fell from the skies'.
I had envisioned similar effects from this carving. Would you say this is workable as an idea? I had pushed it to the back of my mind as I didn't think that radioactivity would go down too well, but as you've had a similar thought.......

Well my rock didn't fall from the sky per se....but the radioactivity isn't acknowledged obviously, just hinted at.

I will by no means say 'Luminite causes the development of cancerous tumors'

but something more along the lines of

'many have reported the areas where Luminite jewlelery has been worn have noticed painful growths under the skin, and have reported symptoms of various other illnesses and extreme fatigue. Many regard this as a curse carried from the Doilth, an area which many believe to be corrupt for various reasons.'

I was thinking more along the lines of 'increasing fatigue, redness and blistering of the skin', that sort of thing. Not a million miles away from your description, really.

Perhaps I should yield the territory to you, as you will probably write your entry before me grin

Unless you think that we could use both, if I keep mine sufficiently different to yours?

So, what is the official line on Santharian meteorites, then?

Well, I know very little other than the basics of the model, but I would assume that the Caelerethian Disk is simply in the middle of nothing, not space as we would consider it. Now if we explain meteorites as bits of rock from somewhere 'out there', then there can't really be any.....since there's nothing there. That said though, we do have stars, which hint at something being up there. Maybe you should ask somewhere who know's more about the 'secret model truth' construction of Caelereth. At any rate I would say its ok for it to be a legend (this thing falling out of the sky) even in the instance where there was no such event.....

Also, I would have no objections to the two similar substances. In fact, would it be that implausible that its found in both areas? I mean iron isn't just found in one country of the world, so why would Luminite?

This might be grounds for us to collobarate eh?

Ooh. Me? Colaborate with *gulp*, you?  speechless

Well, I'm not actually anywhere near starting the entry I was thinking of putting it in (earmarked for when I'm offered my Masterwork), but if you think I'm up to the job of joining forces with you, then I see no reason not to create a little something which could be expanded on at a later date!
At the very least it will be good experience for me  grin

Erm, but you promise not to try any 'tactics' on me?

Haha, you give me more credit than I'm due Tharoc!

And no tactics, I promise! I would say Marmarran's honour....but we both know that's not worth much now, don't we?

To this list can be added; Rock Lobsters (Working Title), predatory, burrowing, aceed secreting crustaceans that eat anything up to a sheep in size.

Crumbleweed. Nothing very remarkable, grows roots straight through solid rock, can be used for yellow dye.

Spider X; tiny, pale-white, hundreds.

Keep your eye on the Tintrab as well. Srang started to develop it (under my tutelage, poor fellow) 2-3 weeks ago, but he hasn't been seen since. It has potential, and would sit nicely in Nybelmar, methinks!
