    R'unorian Facts
    Information on Site:
    • R'unor contains orcs that have been assimilated into a largely human culture.
    • Human-orc inter-breeding has occurred.
    • The kingdom was at some point, unified into its present shape.
    • The mountains are named in Styrash.
    • The R'unorians have a paranoid, xenophobic culture as of the present, and have reason to assassinate each other.
    • The Blaar'kr make up more than one half of 'nine' human tribes.
    • R'unor possess both advanced magic and technology "to rival the Aeoliran (Memnoor) Brownies"
    • R'unorian culture is/was matriarchal
    • R'unorian culture possess a word equivalent to harem.
    • R'unorian government was once an absolute monarchy
    • R'unor is now ruled by a Triumvirate, and the monarchy is no longer absolute.

What can be inferred from what is on site:
    • Humans have assimilated elements of orcish culture (the names of one or two of the gods sound distinctly orcish)
    • Orcs might have been technically advanced.
    • R'unor is not rich in iron, either because it is difficult to obtain or short in supply.
    • There is something of incredible value in or around the city of Bluesteel.
    • Bluesteel may or may not be devoted to mining.
    • R'unor may have had elves at some point.
    • R'unor has not always been a coherent political entity.

Information from the R'unorian Basics Discussion
    • R'unor was first colonized by the Kayrhem after the war of the chosen
    • The R'unorians and Santerrans share a common ancestry
    • The human population of R'unor arrived during the Santerran migration ca. 3000 b.S.
    • R'unor's ruling elite are demi-elves of one sort or another
    • R'unorians are likely very religious people

Proposals from the R'unorian Basics Discussion
    • R'unor may have moved to it's current position over 10,000 years
    • R'unorians may have gone to war with the Santerrans

The R'unorian Entry Exchange Program is now underway!

What is the R'unorian Entry Exchange Program?

The R'unorian Entry Exchange Program (REEP) is a way to keep R'unor from poaching newbies or developers with the lure of new and exciting places to put new and exciting entries, while at the same time bringing diversity of ideas and style to the R'unor.

Wait. That didn't answer my question. What is the R'unorian Entry Exchange Program?

Simply put, REEP is a system whereby one developer can write a R'unorian entry in exchange for a similar entry elsewhere. This should help prevent stagnation of ideas.

How do I get in on this?

Simply post a R'unorian entry and give Valan a PM or bellring about it. If you're worried your submission might not fit, PM Valan first.

What sort of entries can be exchanged?

R'unor is under-developed in every sense. As elsewhere, beasts, plants and to a lesser extent, miscellaneous entries or people, may all be exchanged for an equivalent Sarvonian or Nybelmarian entry. Revisions are also an option. R'unorian entries are woefully out of date in some places, and other areas of the world are in need of revision.

In simpler terms? A beast for a beast, a plant for a plant, a revision for a revision.

Are there any guidelines to R'unorian development?

R'unor is essentially a canvas with only the slightest bit of paint on it, and a few pencil lines to say where it should be coloured.
It's been suggested that R'unor should seem fantastical, or even a little unearthly. If you have ideas that don't quite fit in Nybelmar, Northern Sarvonia or Santharia, there might be room here.

However this doesn't mean that every entry can or should go into R'unor. The most important part of R'unor, no matter how strange or fantastical, is that it make sense. Horrible monstrosities, plaigarism and imports are out of the question. The bizarre has its place, but it isn't intended that R'unor become a haven for whatever doesn't fit elsewhere and acts of legerdemain will not be tolerated.

The submissions must follow the restrictions of the forums they are posted in. No superbeasts, for instance. Dragons are restricted regardless of the continent you develop them in. The moderators of a forum always have the final say as to whether or not something violates their rules.

    Suggested Entries:

    -Poisonous berries for R'unorian brandy

Forest of souls flora or fauna
    -R'unorian Deer
    -Flying gecko creatures "Pshuta"
-birds of all shapes and sizes
-Mosses, shade loving plants and fungi
    -Edibles, possibly crops

    Special Consideration:
Part of the forest of souls (the tinderwood) is prone to regular fires as a result of the volcano it abuts. The animals and plants here have all adapted or adjusted to compensate here. Evolve or die is the rule.

Animals need to have one of the following qualities
    • Able to fly or glide out of the fire's reach.
    • Able to outrun the fire's path
    • Able to withstand the heat
    • Able to burrow or swim far enough that the fire can't reach them
Plants typically have one or more of the following qualities
    • Capable of withstanding fire
    • Fast regrowth
    • Deep root systems
    • Reproduce as a result of the flames
