Judith, doesn't hurt my feelings if you pick from the list.  I have been asking the authors via a PM when I decide to do one.  If you do the same we'll be sure not to double draw. thumbup

Of course this is strictly a theoretic question atm as I'm away from my tablet and software, and when I do get back the first of September Art has a nice little list of things he wants finished up before I start anything new.... but thank you, Seeker!  I shouldn't wish to be greedy, but I will be available in the fall again for requests as well...

Know I've gotta couple pictures recently, though I thought I'd mention this. I'd love to see the Rusthound done. Been missing my puppy tons for the last 5 weeks.

Well, I can see what I need to do to start getting aura points again - get cracking on some pictures!   (pouts enviously)  I do miss my tablet, I must say....

Oooo, I'd always wanted to see one of a leaf ferret - they're like a cross between a flying fox and a ferret...and green...and ridden by Brownies (why else would I know about them :P), but a picture with or without Brownie would be amazing.

This is a great initiative! I suggest we use this post for all Santharian artists, and if one sees something one would like to illustrate, one should just say so here, so it can be updated on the list. Sounds OK?
I'm up for an illustration of the Remusian Warsword if I may! In fact, small illustrations like that would be great and would cost far less time to complete (even just because the task seems so less daunting), and more variety of illustrations would be nice. Plants, foods, jewelry etc. for instance.

Faugur, yep sounds good.  thumbup

I already made note of this in the first post.   I don't think anybody cared which artist took these on.  However going forward I hope suggestions will mention if they have a particular artist in mind.  I don't think that will happen often.

I am going to be working on a pic with the Gossiper bird and may add a couple plants such as the two herbs mentioned in the list.   I would also like to reserve the right to do the Frozen Tombs later on if that is OK.

I will update the main post.

Great to see you planning to draw some more stuff, Faugar! :) Small illustrations are also valuable, because the more we have illustrated on the site, the more illustrated the site looks as a whole, as there's a higher quanitity of pictures - one masterpiece still only illustrated an entry (mostly).

So if smaller stuff is ideal to get into illustration mode, then I guess I should have a look around and put some more entries together that shouldn't be too difficult to realize. I'll see to that during the weekend.

Ok, I looked through some entries to find stuff that shouldn't be too difficult to illustrate to add to that list. As suggested in the other thread things like items or weapons could be put on some sort of generic background where the center background is lit up a bit and there's a transition towards a darker colour towards the border (here's an example of what I mean - the hand is only there because this picture deals with an extremely small, practically unseen weapon, where the hand is important to show). If you draw a picture that way the thing depicted can stand on its own as an item and is properly highlighted. So there's no need to show e.g. a weapon on a person, so you can reduce the picture to its minimum essence. Plus, you could use the same background at other similar pics as well.

So here you go, a selection of entries that could be made into pics without taking weeks to finish them:

Weapons/Armour
- Boomerang (simple, obvious design, maybe a few runes in it to give the weapon some mystery)
- Salen Pins (not really much more than needles)
- Tripoint (also self-explanatory)
- Khrumm Scimitar (LOTR inspired orcish sword - would be good to have something like that unregular sword around for a change)
- Crystal Dagger (pretty much a simple dagger with a twist)
- T'lark War Buckler (a Kaaer'dár'shín armour piece made of wood and the hide of a Tsor-Shotak lizard, which can be decorated according to the warrior's preference, so you have pretty much a free hand if you do that one)

Books/Lore
- Elemene Tabulata (this would just be a book, a pretty thick one, though, with some ancient, ragged look, some alchemical symbols on top - an absolute key book as far as Santharian Alchemy is concerned)

Artifacts
- The Keep's Heart (a legendary acidgreen diamond of magical origin, which will play a crucial role in further concepts related to the War of the Chosen - in the possession of Santhros it might have actually divine powers! Can be used to illustrate entry, story & history event)
- Sungems (three bright, ancient orb-like jewels)

Alchemy/Drinks
- Veel Elixir (a small, dark-green, glass vial containing about one mouthful of milky-blue liquid, and that's it)
- Vaninen Concoction (a Santharian hallucinatory drug, always good to use for some "dark side" stuff, would be great to have that illustrated at some point)
- Svaq (the famous sober-drink, quite famous, longs for a pic, could be used at entry, inventor entry, game stuff etc.)

Ok, so this is just a small selection of rather simple things to draw that however have solid entries or where pics could be used double and trice. - Maybe there's something for our artists to try their hands on them :)

Would anyone greatly mind if I had a go at doing the boomerang?

I think I'm getting better at this now, so it should come out looking better than that Kyrattin thing I tried to do.

Can't hurt to give it a try, I'd say... :)

Dibs on the jewels, pretty please.  I love trying to create gems and the light refractions in them!

The Alchemy ones also sound interesting - dang, I hate being away from my tablet....
