Map of Voldar

Hi everyone

I have recently noticed that there are almost no existing maps of cities. This is a problem for me as I am currently involved in the RPGing forums, and want to make a house in Voldar. However, the guidelines posted say that I must specify where in the city my house is. As there is no map, I have no idea what to put. Looking at other cities, I have found that most don't have a map. Therefore, I would like to request a map of Voldar to be drawn and recommend that maps of other cities are drawn.

There exists only a detailed city map of Nyermersys at the moment, so maybe that works for your character as well. However, if you want to go with Voldar it can hardly be a mandatory requirement to know exactly where in Voldar your character lives, so you could make up a quarter or something to have a rough idea.

In general it seems unlikely that a Voldarian map will be made soon, as there are other priorities right now, so you have to take that into account.

Greetings, LOTP,

Have you considered creating the map yourself? Obviously you would need assistance from Dev Mods etc, but you may find it fun.

I see from the Voldar entry that very little information as to the layout of the city is provided, other than the locations of statues, a castle and a hill, but it's a starting point!

If you prefer to let others do the developing, perhaps you should just say that your house is situated "on the northern banks of the XXXX river", or "in the shadow of the Thaelon Forest", or just to the West of the city center, near the statue of Mahiaria the Innocent"?

LOTP, please make sure you read through all of the requirements for the Home Sweet Home Thread on the RP side. It only requires you to provide the information that you are able to access through the main site. If some information that you think you need is not available, feel free to make it up within reason. If it is close to the center of the city, say that. If it is close to the outskirts of the city, say that. If it is on the northern edges of the city, mention how many days you think it'll take for you to get from there to the next town to the north. There are maps of Santharia, after all, and it gives you an indication of what cities are North, South, East and West of each city. In short, use what information is available, and try to make up other information that is reasonable based on what is available there.

I have actually found the bones of a map in an RPG called the city of Voldar, so I should be Ok now.

Oh, and Deklitch, I did read the requirements, but I wanted to know the layout of the city so I could show the location of my house on a map. Thanks anyway.
