Fire Mage

Seeker arrives at the city of Ximax as instructed by the Hiveling.  "What now?"  he thinks.  Slowly he pulls out a new painting and enters the Fire Mage academy, his old home.  Soon a withered old mage enters the room and a huge smile overcomes his face.

The old mage approaches Seeker with arms wide "What are you doing here old friend, I hear they call you Seeker nowadays"
"Yes they do" Seeker responds in a somber voice.  "Here I painted this for you on my journey to Ximax"  Seeker presents a painting of Anilya the Everbright.

"Oh oh oh, wonderful Seeker" says the old man. " But you didn't come all this way to give me a painting ...how did you know we were looking for you?"
"I did not know. For what reason were you seeking me." Seeker responded.

"hmmm interesting...... well it has been approved my friend.  Apparantly you have powerful allies sympathetic to your cause.  You are being given a chance, but only one, do you understand Seeker,  only one question.  Be Warned"

I'm going to guess this is the human view of her and not the Volkek-Oshra view, teehee.  Beautiful work as always my friend. :) :D

Being a human Fire Mage myself I tend to find the idea of her being an Orc rather repulsing.  She will always be human to me.

That's awesome. :D

My one comment would be that the left forearm looks a little thin. Like, bone thin. I'm not sure if that's what you intended, but it's a bit offsetting, at least for me. :P

WOW! This is great! clap  :D

That's fine to depict her as human. When writing the entry, I personally had a vision in my head that she was half-orc. But depending on who you ask I guess, she could be human or orcen or half-breed. All of which are acceptable as long as the flames and aura of power is done right.  :D

The first thing I noticed was her pose. Very regal and confident, which she should be. Her head is held high and her command of the flames is evident. She is a master of pyrification sphere and her car'all is aflame. She holds a staff, which is definitely a requirement, and her robes are not extraordinary. I envisioned her as a humble servant of fire, not a terribly flashy dresser.  ;)

First critique! Her shoes. While I love those strappy heels, they don't quite fit for her. I'd prefer either sandals or bare foot. I lean more towards sandals, but the straps up the ankle can stay to give support. Boots wouldn't work with those robes and would not be feminine enough.

Hrmm...I'll have more to say a bit later. Her right hand looks a bit dark, and maybe thicken her left arm a bit as Fox suggested.

That is AMAZING Seeker. The flames seem to almost caress her, and she seems to be almost communicating with the fire - she has a far deeper, more personal connection with it than those who only use it to destroy (not that she never did). It's a very nice illustration. I was going to suggest it could be this one, but no-one will ever belive this is was drawn in haste!

Lovely. Aura for the Artist.

Indeed, another wonderful picture we've got here! Very cool... er... hot how the flames dance around the body, the burning staff fits as well, and the gown is also representative of the general idea! Though I admit that I wondered when exactly high heels were invented on Earth, and when this was the case in Santharia... lol

Aura +1 of course, as aside from the high heels thingy this looks really great!

Something else...

The color of her robes and the background need some contrast. It's all very orangy in color. Perhaps white robes with orange lining? Or maybe a different colored background like dark blue. That would kind of hint at the Mar'malog myth. Definitely a dark background to contrast the flames.

Here we go with another version.  I think I addressed the comments thus far.  However I do prefer to keep the color scheme within the fiery range.  Meaning I prefer not to put any blues here.

I'm sure my good friend whose an orc fire-mage and follower of the everbright would be most upset to see this version of the everbright.

As for me, I like what you've done here Seeker
