I had to google that. I am pop-culturally challenged, you see, due to a disinclination to watch TV. Anyway: I only just recently found out that I am a gnome, so please please please do not confuddle me and push me back into the abyss of identity crisis...

Okeydokey... Got a week of vacation now, so the plan is to complete chapter 5 now with all the required pics, sounds and musics. Preparation of Chapter 6 as far as texts and program logic is concerned is also already done, and Chapter 7 has been started as well.

@Seeker: So whatever pics you still have for Chapter 5 - send them over in the next week, and then we can move on to Chapter 6 already, at least I'm already at this point where I can integrate pics. And as long as you're still busy with drawing I can continue with preparing the Chapter 7 texts and program logic - so things are progressing on all fronts, that's for sure!  grin

Art, can I do you anything else for the game?  Little details, you know, the homely sorts of things I can draw.... tools and food and the like?  You don't even have to reveal any storyline that way, either....

Especially stuff you can use repeatedly to suggest atmosphere, like, say, a handful of coins scattered on wood for 'paying money' or 'receiving money' situations.  A leather bag half-open on a table with traveller's food spilling out, for meals.   A flickering campfire (easy to do the base wood and charcoal and then give you four or five 'flame/coal/smokel' overlays that you can use to create the animation...) for camping/resting at night...     Weather?  A stormy sky with thunderclouds and rain, a lovely sunset, a misty morning?

Just an idea.  Let me know if you need any thing in particular.

And another update: Chapter 5 of the Shoals is now completely prepared and ready for testing, so please, Seeker and Grinch go ahead and have a look. After that we'll let Shabakuk have a go as well :)

Expect some new pics on Facebook to show up soon of the latest chapter, however, in order not to spoil too much these pictures of course need to be selected carefully to give a certain flavour, but not that much of the story away.

Many thanks to Seeker for this suspenseful story, the loads and loads of pics he made for this one. While lengthier than other chapters I really like this one very much - there's a lot happening, and I think it all fits very well together now!  thumbup

Judy provided an excellent picture for the Shoals game this past weekend.  Sorry I won't divulge what it was a picture of.  You will have to wait to see.

Also I have been testing module 5 and I must say Art is adding so many bells and whistles (mainly animations and cool sound effects) that I must grant him a shiny Aura.  The story is even exciting for me to play and I have read it a billion times.  buck

Indeed I remember having actually integrated some whistles this time - and there's even a background ambience music playing at some point with faint tolling bells as well... lol

Anyway, glad you enjoy the integration, Seeker! I'm always happy when the work of various Santharian members comes together in condensed form. And in this case with lots of pictures from various artists, a strong story, and above all that a really nicely embedded tale as well, which truly pays tribute to what you find on the site. So when I put it together I just try to live up to that package, hopefully presenting it in an entertaining way - and if the whole thing is even existing for yourself I'm pleased :)
