As I said in the Seeker 'Castle Pic - but which one?' thread, I am seeking permission to engage in Kyranian Development as my developmental focus in the Santharian kingdom. I am also hoping to have a developmental focus outside of the Santharian kingdom, but I'll talk about that in another thread. :D

So far, I have contributed the following entries regarding the Kyranians on the development side ...
- Thromgolin's Coronal
- Arvins Arrows
- Disks
- Kyrattin
- Sengren Axe
- Mittoris (the Kyrattin herder) - almost forgot him, oops :D
These were done under the guidance and support and with the encouragement of Garret and where necessary Capher.

Additionally, I have some characters on the rp side who are Kyranians.

I've spoken with Garret via PM about the Kyranians, and she is unsure as to whether she will be returning to Santharia. She is also happy for me to be responsible for Kyranian development. I have her PMs in my Santharian inbox about this issue, and would be happy to share them with anyone who would be interested in seeing the communication. So, you could safely assume that I am seeking permission to continue to develop and build on what's on site about the Kyranians. I don't want there to be confusion about this, suggestions that I am trying to do this in a vaccuum, or trying to do this off my own bat without consideration for other things and what's been done before.

My plans and thoughts on this tribe are in keeping with what Garret was wanting to do with the Kyranians, as she and I communicated frequently about them when we were both around. (Yay for communication via PM and IRC) :D. She said she'd be happy with whatever I do with them. Don't worry, I won't be making changes to existing entries on site, (apart from updating them with new information) as I value the work that she and before her, Capher, did to the Kyranians. I will be adding to them ... to round out the tribe and the area in which they still exist today. I've also spoken somewhat with Mina about my thoughts and plans about the Kyranians and things around them, as he's the one who did up the Xaramon master plan and I have spoken with him about part of my plans ... he was fine with what I was proposing, but suggested I shoould check with Garret due to her involvement in developing the tribe, which I had already done.

So, my 'plan of attack' with regards to the Kyranians will be as follows
- Review what's already here (90%+ done)
- Note gaps in what's here (50% done)
- Check Garret's development schedule and see what things she wants to do so that I leave them alone, should she at some stage in the future be able to return to us she'll be able to work on them (50%+ done)
- Get some historical figures up on site: the scions (one created the Sengren axe), the founder (whose brother created the coronal), and the good king (the picture of the king who was wearing said coronal) (sorry, can't recall names at the moment, but I think they'll be pretty clear who they are) (5% done)
- Do places entries for important cities/towns and geographic locations in the area. I am particularly interested in doing Naios City, which I have spoken with Mina about, and he's fine with me doing it. (5% done)
- Seeing about further plants/animals in the entries (0% done)
- Doing up festivals for the Kyranians in greater detail, pulling on what's in the entry and expanding it into its own entry, using what else might have been developed in making these (0% done)
- Miscellaneous entries related to the Kyranians (0% done)

I will, of course, put up details of proposed entries in the relevant forums for people to comment on/improve on/correct as deemed appropriate.

So, thoughts on me developing the Kyranians ... any problems with what I'm proposing?

Hey, Dek!  Sounds as if you have really covered your bases in researching  and planning out how you could take responsibility for this area.  I heartily encourage you to throw your talents into the Kyranians "officially" if you like, and start fleshing out those figures and places which you have listed.  You have my 'vote of confidence' at the very least, and were I in a position to 'grant approval'  you would have that as well.  ( I personally believe that as a single individual only Artimidor has that veto/approval power; generally consensus/majority opinion can be elicited from established/active/contributing members - often what happens de facto).   I can't imagine anyone would be ungracious or controlling enough to object, given your competence, dedication, communication with prior specialists/compendiumists in the area, and careful planning.   I look forward to seeing some of the results from this plan of action!

Sounds good to me.  Personally, and I realize this does not apply to everyone, I find more pleasure in concentrating on a particular people and culture than in jumping around from place to place, as you can more easily look to see the how the entirety of your work has shaped the world.
