Don't forget to make the rat less fat and healthy and more skinny, malnourished and diseased. I didn't see that anyone acknowledged my comment above... rolleyes The pic just as much affects my entries as it does Rooks.

feels overlooked sometimes

Sorry Azhira, it's true that there is a tendancy to think all Brownie development falls under my scope, whilst in actual fact both you and Garret have made huge contributions to the race's development.  I'll drop you a pm - maybe we can think of some easy ways to reajust the perspective?  :)

I was trying to think of some easy ways to make the rat look more like a diseased city rat (which I was trying to get into my comments) - do you reckon giving the fur a bit more of a dirty look?  Perhaps the tail less shiny and more....icky?  Or is it simply that it seems too plump?

Azhira,  Yes yes.  In fact I plan on addressing all the suggestions provided.  All are good and will make things more accurate and better all around.  So anymore suggestions are still welcome.

Thanks everyone (Dek, Alt, Talia, Ath, Irid, Shabby, Drassy, Arty and Azhy  :D) The encouragement was very helpful because I was skeptical of the first version.  As you see I made quite a few changes and attempted to place the picture in a less sunlit setting.  I beleive I addressed all the suggestions.  I decided to go with a cat instead of a human face.

To answer a few questions:
The brownie is meant to have a hunchback as they are misshapen.
The quiver is indeed a thimble with Q-tips in them.  glad you noticed.  I realize Q-tips in Santharia is a bit of a stretch but I figured it would be fun.
The colorful beads are just that ... beads  grin.  I made them bigger when I realized the scale was off.

More suggestions or ideas are welcome if you guys have any.  I am particularly interested in knowing when the authors are happy with the technicalities of the characters.

That is an awesome...er, awful...rat!   I shouldn't like to encounter either of those twain in a dark alley even if I am a 'Bigjobs'....

Everyone is worried about the rat and brownie. Does no one see that CAT?
*doesn't want to run into that cat*

Would I be correct in my belief that i've fought some of that rat's cousins in Nepris?

Aura from me for you Seeker, tied up in a pretty bow!

Quite the fun picture! The cat is particularly cute. Perhaps you should present a full cat portrait next ;)

Oh right, I approve the new pic too!

Be sure to include it in the rat brownie entry and the city rat entry.  ;)
