The Wolf of Glandor - for Ath

Lamskun, mighty Lamskun, touched his blade and murmured Glandor's refrain:
"I know not what death tomorrow brings,
But to those who bring it to me may I bring theirs."

For Ath, with appreciation...

I think the appreciation is all mine...again, thank you.

Ok, these posts will come ina funny order. This is what I'm talking about in my next post (I'm sure you can do it far better than my photoshop skills, but this is the length I mean)
Anyway: Voila!

Ok, I've had more time to look at this and come up with some comments, and the only thing I can say is that the swords appear a little long. Currently, they blades are about twice the size of the torso (shoulder to waist) - judging by Lamskun's - which is a bit long for my envisioning of them, and also their technology level. Without wanting to make them too short, I think a reasonable length for them is about one and a half times the size of the torso/three quarters their current length (roughly from the top of Lamskun's head to his waist). This equates to a little over two fores, rather than what they are now, which is a little under three.
Essentially, there is a long bloodstain on Lamskun's blade, at the tip. Where it thickens a bit, about halfway from his knee to the point, I think is about right for the tip. That cuts off about the distance from his shoulder to his crown, or a bit less.
I'll see if I can provide an image along the lines of what I'm thinking.
Athviaro
EDIT: Having said that, Adalulf's sword may still be a smidgen too long. I leave that to your discretion, and I'm sorry to deface your picture so.

First of all:
Aura +1
and congrats on another really cool pic, Judy!
This really makes me want to read the whole story which Ath has recently finished, so I'll get to that soon
I think the pic is really impressive, also with the fog in the scene, the eerie tree, and the fact that there are three guys in the pic which make a rather cool ensemble! The grass works very well also, probably some Photoshop brushes methinks!
Looks like the swords are too long for Ath, though the one in front seems to be drawn actually as a twohander - see the enormous hilt - so if the blade has to change this would have to affect the hilt as well - right, Ath?
Personally I would also suggest to work a bit on the upper part of the body, which seems as smooth as a baby's bottom...
Maybe there's some skin texture out there, or there are brushes which emulate skin. I guess I've seen some of those - these might do a nice job here.
But all in all this is another splendid one Judy - great work!

I've got no problem with the hilt being long enough to accomodate two hands, if that's what Judy feels like doing. It hadn't occurred to me; it certainly didn't leap out at me.
Any way you want to do it, Bard; again, my deepest and most heartfelt thanks.

Maybe they doubled as Glandorian professional wrestlers, Skald male swim suit models or the Glandorian version of Chippendales?
