FYI: I'll be off to Switzerland again on a business trip on Monday and Tuesday and won't be online these days, showing up again not before Wednesday evening in case the plane makes it there and back :)

Is your team again flying in two different planes in case one crashes? It seems a common practise, but when you mentioned it years ago the first time, I have been surprised.

In a way, two different planes, yup. The way we handle it is that one of the teams flies to Austria, the other to Switzerland... So there are never all developers on the same plane. :)

We are actually two teams, one stays in Vienna and the other one goes to Switzerland. Lucky me I'm save for now  grin

There are Swiss and Austrian people in each team, so under no circumstances is a whole team or company in the same plane. It is Artis time to travel now, so what can I say... well *fingers crossed* *gg

Well, isn't flying the safest means of transport of all? Besides, first we go by taxi, then by plane, then a further hour per train, then we are picked up by someone, to drive until we arrive at a small Swiss town - so plenty of opportunities not to survive the trip... lol Then we talk for two full days and the whole procedure begins again to get back again...

This means: Get up at 4.30 in the morning, and arrive home again at midnight the next day. So there's a chance to be tired the whole trip, join "lively discussions" and the next day after you get back home probably also doesn't result in the most cheerful day ever. But someone decided that the whole thing is a super bright idea, and the more often we do it, the better, so...  cool

How ironic ... we were all (rightly) concerned about the safety of our Sage, but not him but the rping boards were under threat and went down. Pleased you got there and back again safely, and hope you catch up on your sleep, Artimidor!
