As I mentioned in another post I am abandoning doing detailed views of the towers from the outside in favor of doing the six lobbys. I think this will keep my interest better. Each one will be unique in its own way. This is the Water Tower lobby. What do you think?

The interior walls of the Water Tower are of smooth, blue-veined black marble, bordered along their lower edges by eophran-shaded wooden panels. The relatively few torches spread throughout the tower only barely lighten the shadowed walls. What light does exist is constantly refracting and shifting throughout the rooms and halls, as the niches in which each torch can be found are covered over by walls of water surging through clear glass panes about a fore in depth. Small moats run around the edges of the flooring, and the water that rolls down certain segments of the walls and into the moats create a constant sound of running streams.

The central landmark of the lobby is an immense ornamental fountain, with water flowing from the cavernous ceiling, down its intricately designed sides, into a moat at its base. The fountain is built from a variety of rocks in all shades and shape and held together by mortar. A few potted plants surround it, and some branches dip close enough to taste the cool water flowing down the edges.

The hallways of the tower have high ceilings, causing the light and sounds of water to echo throughout them. Only in the classrooms, study rooms, and student quarters are the lights fully lit, and the water silent.

wow, Seeker, what a grandiose picture. That mirroring in the floor impressed me most, maybe because I laboured with the shrine pic in this respect. It is close to the description also. The only thing which I do not like this much is the colour of the rocks. They mirror the wood, but somehow this is what disturbs me a bit. Rocks have to be more grayish (though of course there are brownish ones. ) Maybe use a lighter colour? Add some moss? More greenery?

What a wonderful picture once again, Seeker, and of course another aura +1! clap

This is really impressive - the vast halls, the rocks, the columns, the people who bring it all into the proper perspective, and the reflections with just the right amount of transparency work great here, adding a certain grandness to it all! Marvellous! Kept on staring on it for quite a while - especially as it was posted in full size and one needs to scroll up and down a bit to see it all, just like a visitor of the tower...

Personally I don't mind the colour of the rocks so much - they come in all kinds of sizes, shapes and colours, so they don't really bother me. Maybe because the lobby is of the Water Tower it could be a bit more bluish to go with the overall theme, but yeah, that's nothing dramatic and could maybe easily adjusted with a filter or something.

Anyway, absolutely breathtaking picture, Seeker! I'm looking forward to the day when Santhworld players can walk through the Ximax academy, rest near this tranquil fountain/waterfall thingy, listen to conversations... and burn the whole thing down by getting a spell wrong... lol

Changing the colors of the rocks will be very easy. I have no problem with that. Thanks for the comments.

So Alt is right. There is a random lobby in the Venetian Hotel that I patterned the arches and columns after. They are totally different colors and with different pattesrns and such. Sooooo I am a little surprised that he could recognize that , how much time do you spend in Vegas Altario? grin
