Carabery Tree Picture

Last night I woke with a start in a strange forest. The silence of the dark woods brought a chill to the bone. All around I was confronted with strange trees, a hard oputer shell seemingly melting away as the morning light shone through the trees. Every now and then I thought to hear a soft voice on the wind whispering ............. "Ronoth"

I must say... I'm impressed, this morning I woke up home at 5:45 am.. it was time for school, it was still dark outside and it was storming. There I had the feeling I don't want to get up and just get back to sleep.... I took my phone and took a look in the world of Santharia, when suddenly a surprise came, a message from Seeker. I knew it can only mean one thing, I saw this picture and it gave me the strenght to get up... it made my day

Hmm, I see dragonflies, or something that looks similar anyway. Do we have those in Caelereth? I know we have something called dragonflies, but they're actually a type of lizard.

Great Perab! I am glad you like it and I am more glad that it made your day.

Mina- This is a damselfly by our wordly comparisons. And you are correct that we do not currently have such an insect entry in Santharia. I searched through all the insects and could not find a suitable one to fit in the swamp. So read through Perab's draft on Ronoth Forest and he mentions many dragonflies live in the forest. However as I realize the dragonfly is a lizard for Santharia I decided to go with the cousin of the dragonfly ... the damselfly. I figured it is common enough that I may be safe.

Very nice atmospheric picture, Seeker, will fit nicely to the entry, so of course aura +1! Also it made Perab happy and we also got a picture of a damselfly (even though that entry still needs to be written, I'll add that part to the resources then methinks), so we get two flies with one strike

The tiny shiny twilight rose is a really old entry... but I still have the same problem... I am stuck in my own idea... Mira already pointed out that I need to add some connection to the world, but I am not really sure how to give some connection... I had the idea to give some behavior related to other plants or objects in the surrounding, that collapsed when I remembered I am writing about a rose...

I would recommend to focus on one specific entry for a start, either the rose or the damselfly for example. Don't open up to many projects at once. To get inspiration read some of the entries on the site. Usually Myth/Lore is the section where you can make nice references to certain cultures for example - but you know, if you put a plant in the middle of nowhere you're in trouble. So wherever you put something, read up on the tribes, towns in this area and learn a thing or two about the people, their religion, their lore, superstitions etc. and it will get easier. Personally I prefer it the other way round: Focus on a place or a tribe and see what you can create that really fits there, e.g. if there's a dark and evil place and there's a reason why the place is that way you can create weird plants in there with a bit of imagination that are directly linked to the source of the evil through myth and lore. It's not that difficult if your approach it right.
