I find it is always nice to to take a break from the rigors of journeying around santharia and simply enjoy the beauty that is around me. Sometimes I am so busy casting fire spells at demons or exploring dark dungeons that I forgot to stop and smell the roses as they say.
Well here is a nice little scene I came across last week. I just had to capture for the compendium.

Personally, I find these quiet little scenes some of my favourite contributions from you, my friend.

Nice composition, Seeker!
I like how the mushroom is about to fall into the water, due to his weight, and I like the backgound, that river, the trees in the mist.
The butterfly might be a bit big, its wingspan is only 7mm compared to a handspan of the mushroom. Maybe it is a different, newly found one? (One could use it for the entry nevertheless)
Though it fits good to the overall colouring and the mushroom, I might lessen the yellow in the top left a bit, make it more look like natural fog.

Yeah I was having a hard time understanding the measurements for the butterfly for some reason. I don't have a problem with simply making it smaller. I knoiw it is supposed to be "small".

A tiny one might destroy the balance the picture, maybe copy it and put a few into the place of the one?

I love the picture!
As Altario said: These might be just "small" things, so they aren't big monsters or whole towns, but in the beauty of these tiny elements of fauna and flora the whole universe reflects its beauty! The detail is absolutely stunning!

Very beautiful, Seeker. I really like the colours in this. The only thing I miss is the erratic movement of the flittertwitch, which Val described so well in her entry. Time for another animation? Aura from me, in any case.
Regarding the size of the butterfly, I have to voice a rare disagreement with Talia. The insect in the foreground does not seem too large to me in relation to the mushrooms. The mushroom hat is supposed to be up to a palmspan across. That's 10 nailsbreadths, or 4 inches. The flittertwitch's wingspan is described as being 4 to 7 nailsbreadths across. That's roughly 2-3 inches. If anything, it seems to me that we have here a rather large specimen of frogstool relative to the flittertwitch.
The one criticism I would make relates to the flittertwitches in the background. Taking perspective into account, i.e. considering how far away they are, they seem bird-sized to me, rather than butterfly-sized. Should they not be mere specks at that sort of distance? Or am I wrong?

Your right about the background twitches Shabby. I noticed that too after Talia's first comment.
Regarding animations-- I need to get back into that. I really enjoyed doing it.

*sighs*
I fear I'm getting old
Sorry Seeker, I took nailsbreath for grain and thought a grain is a mm instead of two.. maybe that very small let me think of 'very small'
I wouldn't consider a butterfly "with a wing span that can be anywhere between four to seven nailsbreadths " (7 cm) "being very small", hey, not for middle Europe.
Thanks for seeing this, Shaba!

Question here as well: Will there be an adjustment concerning the Flitter Twitch's size? It could be made a tad smaller in this pic and a larger version could be added to another background we already have in order not to lose the detail.

Could we perhaps use a background for the Flitter-Twitch where we have some trees or something similar, Seeker? I'm sure another picture could be used for that which is more nature-like. Right now the background looks a bit weird without the mushroom context, almost as if it's a wall and it doesn't work that well as a stand-alone image.

Sure I just thought you needed it for the little circle thingy. What are you planning on using it for?

Well, the main entry of the Flitter-Twitch I thought. Now that we have a more or less large version of it anyway, we could show it that way. If we have a nice background we can easily put there, why not?
