This so-called "Bell-Ringing" Forum serves the purpose to notify other members (a specific one or a whole group) and relate to them that their attention is needed at a certain topic. This Forum here serves only as a linking station, which brings you to the thread in question and it works like this:

- First of all you should make sure that the topic/problem you want to make someone aware of is already posted somewhere on the Forum.

- Open this new thread in a new window (SHIFT-click on the thread in Internet Explorer for example) and copy this URL.

- Open the Bell-Ringing Forum and search for the name of the person in the thread list here (or a group name) you want to notify, e.g. "Artimidor!"

Important note: You can only notify those people, who have made their thread here already! It is important that everyone makes his/her own thread with his/her own name, so that these members can delete notifications they received themselves.

If your own name doesn't exist yet, please make sure to create a new thread with your name and an exclamation mark at the end.

- Enter this thread and reply with a short message to the thread, e.g. "Please look at this!" - mark "this" and then click on the "Link"-Button to the left of the comment window. At the now appearing window paste the URL you've copied, then hit SUBMIT.

- And that's basically it. If everything works out fine, the addressed member should soon show up at the thread you wanted to have him/her take a look at:D

Please note that you shouldn't discuss things here, so don't reply in this thread unless you have a notifciation to make. Please just discuss in the thread to which people point you to!

In order to get notified through the Bell-Ringing Forum you could either regularly check this Forum and see if someone tries to get your attention...

You let ezBoard do the work and deliver an e-mail straight to your inbox. To do so, do the following:

- Go to the thread with your name on it (or other threads, like the "General Attention needed!")

- You'll see something like the picture below:

- At the bottom you see a link "Click to receive e-mail notification of replies" - click on it to turn on the notification at this specific topic

- ...and next time someone posts in this thread, you'll receive an e-mail, from where you can go to the Forum and finally to the thread where your attention is needed.

Additional note: Please make sure to delete notifications in your own thread here from time to time in your own interest, so that you don't get confused with old notifciations.
