Sand orcs, you mean like the Orcristh? So... yet more Sand orcs?

Sorry but why do we want to have everything everywhere?

Since you have a chance to make a new race and most likely take it in your own hands why not do something like this.  It is just an idea to show a way to go, NOT telling you what to do.

Rimalus-  a scaled type of human. maybe like a snake or lizard.  Not lizard people and no tails like lizards.  Their skin has colored splotches over its entire body maybe say yellow or orange (something distictive) with the skin a light sandy color such as the desert sands.  Maybe has three fingered hands with an oposed thumb.  The fingers ending in claws.  Maybe they are thin and well muscled but short.  Maybe they have nose and ear flaps because of the desert sand storms.  Maybe the mouth protrudes a bit and has teeth similar to a preditor but no tusks like an orc.  Maybe slitted eyes to filter out sunlight  so they have a little better than average eyesight.  Maybe their feet are webbed so they can move with better ease over sand.

Just so we have something a bit different and being near the void can add a bigger mixture, maybe taking in many desert animal characteristics.

Yup, I think a new race would offer quite a bit of these possibilities as Thuja mentioned:)

I would also encourage some pretty exotic beasts down there, e.g. it isn't necessary that horses are common everywhere like at in Azhorhiran territory. People could ride on strange beetles, lizards or snakes for example. If you have played Morrowind there were some weird species for example they used just to give you an idea... I wouldn't mind to some pretty exotic species down there, which could also serve as utilitarian beasts;)

Thuja, have you read "Enemy Mine"? Can't remeber in the moment who the author was. And they did a film as well.

Talia, saw the film.  Had forgotten about that, maybe that is where the idea came from :b

I just thought about it being hot and sandy there and lizards just sort of came to mind.  But lizard people are done all the time so I thought maybe a variation of this idea.  Anyway I am sure Artimis will probably do something else.

Well, I've been formulating a few ideas on the new race. I'm thinking that it should be native to Aeruillin if possible, and driven by the humans to the southern parts of Aeruillin. I was actually thinking something along the lines of what Thuja was saying.

I'll post my ideas once I'm totally happy with them.

:D  :D  :D

You're supposed to put something really clever and witty in the signature. Well, I am neither clever, nor witty, so this is a waste of space for me really.

@Talia >> Barry B Longyear! I read the story a looooong time ago in an anthology of science fiction stories and enjoyed it so much but I could never find that particular book anymore afterwards or 'Enemy Mine' in another book :(  Watched the movie too and liked it but the ending for the story was slightly different from the film.

....sorry....this has nothing to do with the Orcal bounty hunter discussion....sorry :o  :o
