:explode  Realized just how great the inclination angle of Nybelmar was with Sarvonia! Koldar's maps are all drawn horizontal, which means the directions in every location section we wrote are wrong! (at least mine are!)

Unless... :: makes hopeful puppy eyes at Talia :: :pet  Can the disc have two norths? As in "NW North North NE"? :rolleyes

:lol

I'm really getting sick of these maps... When Koldar was around they were alright as he could make the changes himself. Now with him gone, we cannot edit the maps, we cannot add to the maps, we cannot even colour the maps!

I am annoyed.

We can colour them - after easter :)

And I have to look into  other problem first, no idea what you mean.
Edit:
I see, you mean, north is only one point  - the northenmost possible. I wouldn't see this so strictly. I think north could as well be if you look "north" on a line parallel to the one which goes through the centre. If we turn Nybelmar abit around on the main map, then your north would be really "north" 8this one point), but then your south is not longer south, but southwest.

Points to the map of Caelereth.

Nope, Nybelmar is horizontal there. The problem would be the Crimson Islands only.

(I guess you are judging based on the drifting maps - which is a different thing)

I have to run now, but I'll probably post later on this issue again...

No Talia, I was actually talking about your second point. Even when we take parallels everything just shifts - what was described as north becomes NW, NW becomes W etc

BTW which map is right? The Cael map in the maps overview or one of the floating ones recently posted?

I go for the Caelereth maps, not the drifting ones. That's because Nybelmar shows there as "horizontal", meaning in the same position as we know it from the continent map => so we don't need to rethink the whole continent all over again (like a N that becomes NW and a south that is not south anymore would do)

The drifting is ancient times, actually before ancient times, the continent should come into its current (horizontal) position around the end of the first Shadow War.

I'm ok with moving the Crimson Islands down south, to be on the route between Varcopas and Nybelmar - which would probably mean either to shrink them or to move Nybelmar further west (I'm fine with either of these solutions). But I'm definitely not ok with tilting the continent - although I know that a lot of work must go into drawing a map, I do believe that even more work would go into redesigning-rewriting the whole thing.
