we will have lime and calxcement - I need to do the entry yet.  Come to think of it, natural resources would be a great addition to the good-for-newcomers list, really.  They'd have to do their research to see where it could go geographically, look at the towns in the area, etc. etc...

Anybody up for Limestone?  (waves hand frantically) Me me! Pick me!

:)

Yes, clay. It's just that it's not in the resources and I was wondering if it should be? Or whether there is something similar that I have overlooked?

We do have the Rekkin Clay Pits (spelling) in the Griffin's Marl, in Manthria.  We certainly need clay listed as a resource, separate from 'earth' or 'fertile farmland' or 'forests' - clay is essential to a medieval society's functioning, starting with but not limited to ceramics.  Adobe buildings?  Mud plaster?  (thinks)

Oh!  Did I list fuller's earth?  (goes off muttering to herself and making notes with a very scratchy quill which is leaving blots on her bardic tunic unnoticed...)

Yes, we have clay in the Rekijn Clay Hills, but not in the Griffin's Marl, that is a basalt block!

Almare, if you want to know, what kind of houses your people build,(they are special in this area) then you need to read the entry about house types in Manthria, you will find this in the entry about the Avennorians in the Housing section. The entry about the Avennorian will show you, what kind of people live in your place. The clothes section has to be reworked though.

The knowledge on the net is enormous - you need just to do some research.  :D
