Art - thanks a lot for your comments. I'm feeling kinda depressed right now (beginning of the new stydy year, and I have some REALLY uninteresting and tough classes (or what you call them? ) to finish).
I think I'll just make jpg files of all the pics I made for COTW (all 3 demons, orc etc) and email them to you. none of them has any backgrounds, as they didn't need them, but adding a simple 'canvas' background to them shouldn't be a big problem.
Just so you know - I have some more female orcs planned for them, as well as a dwarf, and some gods - which probably will be great for Santharia.
I also ordered a new drawing tablet today.. well - it's not exactly new - secondhand - but it has warranty for 3 months, and it's a true Wacom! I hope it will be easier on my right arm, because working with the aiptek tablet I have now has been very straining on my ellbow ;( I finally will be able to work with a cable free stylus, and hopefully better pressure sensitivity as well as added tilt sensitivity. it costs about the same as a new A6 intuos, but it's a.... A3 model! Art - you have an A4, so you know how BIG this thing is going to be. I guess I'll have to adjust (I have A5 now), but you can always select a smaller field to work on... anyway (I'm rambling again) - expect some new fantasy work this month.
About the 'snipers' - I don't work with layers- it's kind of difficult in painter, so there's no separate layer. but it's a big picture, so maybe a part of the background could be used as a back for some small pic.. I like those trees myself too.

Yup, in fact I have an "A4 oversize", but I think that smaller indeed might be the better solution, especially if you don't have enough space at your table...

Simple backgrounds for the pics would be fine, yes. Needn't be something big, just some background. In general: Maybe you can keep this in mind for other pictures: Sometimes we could use the backgrounds as well, some landscape parts are also always welcomed (e.g. to use it at Forum banners etc.)

P.S. Can't wait to see the demons and the orc!

I just realized how HUGE ite really is - 60cmx45 cm! and it weighs 3 kilogram! uff.. well - it was cheaper then A5 I wanted :)
I'll email you the pics in a minute. also will try to 'extract' the backgrounds from the 'snipers' pic...
standby to receive...

well, you got all the pics, Art - whaddaya think? ;)
oh - I got the tablet and the stylus today - and it even installed (had to uninstall my previous tablet first) - it works fine! I even made two character sketches with it already. As for the size - it's big, but one adjusts surprisingly quick.. it's very fine for drawing - less so for windows operation (too much hand movement needed) and the tweaking possibilities are awesome!
one of the pics I mentioned is a new Orc female warrior - anyone interested?
