Is she on drugs, Faugar? The waves and clouds are great, but I don't know if it fits to a Goddess to look like a junkie?!

Any other suggestions? I want to be able to do such fabulous water and skies, too!

Waves, sky, body are great, Faugar! But the head part is somewhat irritating as Koldar already mentioned. Doesn't fit to the rest, doesn't look like a goddess in fact. If you could change the face somehow this could turn out as a perfect pic...

BTW: Don't know exactly if it wouldn't hurt a bit twisting both arms that way to cover, well, err... interesting parts, but I guess it's practically impossible to turn both arms like this without seeing anything...

I see.. well, ehm, yes.. you might say she looks like she swallowed some pills recently..
I just finished a new version, and wanted to post it, but I see Art hase raised another point here, which I was afraid would come up.. so I guess it's best we just forget about this picture, ok?

She looks a little like those bad, demented fairies that Brian Froud likes to draw so I would say, Faugar, that you have succeeded if your original concept was that! Still a pretty good picture though, technically speaking

Unfortunately you've taken away the other pic now, Faugar, which was really great except the face part from my view. So I can't really compare it now and give proposals.

Concerning the breast problem: I see not really a big difficulty there. As far as I can recall showing the breast on the left would have solved the whole problem.

Sea goddess should be a good one in fact, BTW.

But now that I look closer at the closeup I think that the right eye is the main problem of why the pic looks somewhat irritating. The eyeball somehow seems to be a bit out of place. Perhaps the size of the eye is also different to the other one. If I cover the right eye (from the goddesses point of view) and imagine the same eye on the other side too I guess it would look fine. Hmmm... Only trying to help here.

Can't see the other pic now, but I envisioned Baveras with long flowing hair, while you made cloudy hair. Also a good idea. But mayhaps it would be worth a try to let her come out of a cloudy, perhaps foggy sea (this could be her hair), guess this could add to the mystery of this gddess. Well, as I said I don't have the clear picture of the first version in mind, so I just try to comment out of my mind.

Three things, and the first one I can't think of.

Second, not that it matters, but I like chicken breast a lot, so I have no problem with her...um...arms.

Thirdly,I just finished a new version, and wanted to post it, but I see Art has raised another point here, which I was afraid would come up.. so I guess it's best we just forget about this picture, ok? Why would you want to forget it? The head might be irritating, but give the body some more sea tones, and it might just change things. This is probably your intention, to colour it all in light blue, but the whole picture is basically the same colour. My suggestion would be to add some contrast, for example: dark blues, and greens, to get rid of the glut of light blue.

The aforementioned opinion is that of a demented sick person, so kill him, not me

Fauger I like Wins ideas about changing some of the colors, I also think that maybe if you gave her hair somewhat of a seafoam look that might be good.


As always I defer to the artist and these are just suggestions.

ok, so what the 3 of you are basically suggesting, is a total overhaul - I'd have to adjust too much (hair, skin, face) to make it worthwhile for me. I'd rather do a totally new picture (that's the way I am - I usually just improvise, and HATE rehersing/repeating things...)
I'll still be drawing 3 other gods - maybe some of that will be suitable for you  tough critics, you are, so I know you mean what you say, and I truly appreciate your honesty! thanks.

p.s. before I screw up again - ANY suggestion as to the forthcoming pictures (gods of: war, evil, and..er.. all gods  )

Don't you think you're selling yourself short. You didn't screw up, we just found flaws. Even professionals mess up, now and again.
