Dwarven God proposal for Faugar

Here's a rough sketch on how I imagine Armeros, the God of war, who is also the dwarven God:

I've grabed the head from a picture I found, just for demonstration reasons. The helmet doesn't need to be a bone helmet, though I wouldn't mind. I especially would like to have such long horns with such a form. Also very important is the beard, which perhaps could have some knots, the hair being interlaced etc., I guess you know what I mean, Faugar. The beard is the most proud thing a dwarf has, so it should be very long and elaborated, color maybe should be more grey and white, at least a god should represent wisdom etc. On the other hand this perhaps isn't what the God of War should represent. Hmmm... Well, you can use different colors too. Armeros should look up, with a determined frowning look (at least he's the God of War).

Armeros is wearing a hammer and has a pretty muscular body. I thought about the arms being transparent while everything else isn't, which should express the God in him. Guess this would be rather easy to realize with Photoshop, so if you can't realize this with your painting program I propose to draw the head and the background on two different layers, then I could try to put it together in "god-like" style. As a background I propose to use a dark one, e.g. a dakr cloudy sky to express the war.

The things mentioned here are all just a proposals, Faugar, but I hope they help a bit to see a certain direction for the drawing.

Now big master Arti really made an error!!

Of course the dwarven god is URTENGOR, the God of the Forge, not Armeros, who is the God of War. So please forget about the references to the God of War above, I'm only human!

I think in my humble opinion that the picture with Fauger's expertise could turn it into a wonderful depiction of Urtengor the Dwarven god.

I'll try to do something with it. sorry I didn't answer in a while - had a lot to do lately..

I'll try to find time to do that background for the deamon pic... unless you Art think you can make one (you're good with photoshop)?

Well, if you have the time, Faugar, I'd be happy if you could do such a background (also have to add approx. 20 things in this update!), cause then it would fit to the picture style. It doesn't really need to be something great and very elaborated, but the current black is just too black somehow

Well, I didn't draw the dwarf's face, Stormcrow... I just grabbed it from somewhere for demonstration reason. The rest is naive painting at it's best - cost me two minutes of my precious time

To Winlok: Smudge tool (=Arti's favorite) was used at the bluring part of the beard and the horns. As it's only a sketch bluring is the result of the usage of the smudge tool.
