I'm not sure what's involved in 'developing' these people: I've been away a while.  I can create entries for each of them, but I'm full of trepidation about being able to understand and use this new dialog editor thing.  While I have lots of ideas, I'm uneasy about the nesting and looping and all that technical stuff that I would have to think about....

Could someone give me a bit of advice here?

Using the Dialogue Editor is not as complicated as it looks, Judy. Some general information about the Editor can be found here, along with the links for downloading.

You should download both ZIP files, number one containing a complete setup of the editor, which you should install. File number 2 contains a full documentary, which I advise you to read as everything is explained in full detail, step by step, complete with screenshots. Once you've learned the system on how dialogues are built and how the program works, you only need some inspiration and - tada - you can talk with the Klinsor people you've created and share these dialogues with all members by exporting them. Understanding the principles is essential, so you'll need a bit to get into it, but Thuja, Gararion, Silfer also managed to use the tool, so I assume you'll master this "technical" part as well soon and can fully concentrate on your ideas, 'cause that what it's there for:)  

The example dialogues (which you've already played) can be found by selecting Marcogg in the Dialogue Test form and then choosing either Jasper or Gordoth. You can check out their dialogue construction in the Editor form, so in case you don't know how something is realized, it may help to take a look there.

Improved version 2 is on its way, to which you can easily upgrade later. Just try to learn the basics now. I also recommend to read the Editor FAQs - there may be some answers to some of your questions as well.
