The long awaited 1.5 version of Legendary Tales is ready for download from my website.

You can also download the latest version of the Nepris game here.

This version has integrated the locations that have been developed so far, the Terlano dialogue although the pier is not accessible with the current locations implemented and introduction with music.

To make the download file smaller I have not included the music file. Once you install the game you must create a folder with name 'sounds' and copy there the intro music file with name nepris-theme.mp3. Then start the game and have fun.

Artimidor, I will get back to you for the quests thing.

Some things I noticed while integrating the rooms.
The room with name small bridge is room 56 not 58 and
in room 302a I have changed "the lovely cerubell flowers" to "the lovely blue flowers"

*blinks* Why'd you change the cerubell to simply blue? Cerubells are a type of flower in Santharia and are also a term used to say blue, similar to words like cyan and aqua, only Santharian. o.o

One after the other, Dasson, it's still work in progress...

To Faugar: This new version (1.5) is actually a new setup of the program you first have to download from www.legendarytales.com - before you can install the Nepris adventure...

The setup is not a replacement for the old exe or something. So you should run it and install it in a new folder, like a brand new program. Hope that solves the problem for you...

Faugar: The update will work for the *original* 1.42 version without the patch. If you have patched the program or perhaps you have found a new tales.exe 1.42 executable somewhere ;)  the patch will not work. Reinstall version 1.42 again in the same folder and then run the update.

Dasson: The change of all cerubell flowers to blue flowers in room descriptions has been agreed with Artimidor so that if the flower is not identified the player must not know its name. If the flower is identified the player will know that the blue flowers are cerubells without having to see it written in the text so we cover all cases.

yeah, I must have had the patched version 1.42. no biggie 0 I just installed the full 1,5 version and it seems to work fine.
except..
when you start, and go south a couple of times, you seem to be standing still, in the same spot.. or is it just me?

Hey, you can't go much more south... The text you get states clearly that the player decides to stay in Nepris and won't go further south and stays on the spot...

Music fits in very well (but I miss that it repeats, at later points it can be replaced by others), also the Quest Log/Journal looks very nice - we'll see how it fills with the quests then...

Don't know though why you can't connect the rooms to Terlano, as several more rooms up north are developed already including the path to Terlano. See map below... The rooms marked with a green circle are the rooms you already should have...

Oh, and important tip for all those who want to move around faster... - use the numpad for the directions! The larger the game is, the more it is obvious that you can't actually play the game efficiently with the combo selection (this at the moment triples all the clicks: click combo, select, click go)! Especially because the current layout is actually based on necessary mouseclicking an easy way to make navigation possible with the mouse is desirable I guess.

*Votes for an one-click compass rose solution with highlighted directions;)   *

I'm glad that you like it. And the new journal shows that any  interface graphics are all welcome to be integrated (including compass roses ;)   )

RT you should look more closely to the map (or perhaps I should) but room 1 is not linked to room 19 and there is no other way to access the well and go further. You have to move through 20 and 66 which are not implemented yet. Just tell me if there's something I'm missing here.

Question. In the game you have added somewhere a Cerubell Meadow as an item. I suppose you did that so that the player can examine it and have the option to pick up a flower?

Talia if my program runs on a mac through an emulator I must admit that I have underestimated emulators (or overestimated Windows :rollin  )

Ah, indeed... The rooms up north definitely are cut off (where are my glasses!?), and only because two lousy rooms are missing... Ah, my fault... No way to go through the wall there... :lol  Well, 20 and 66 should follow soon...

Oh, BTW, don't know if you ever thought about that: But if the game gets pretty complex and you need to test a lot - wouldn't it be wise to have some sort of Admin mode, which allows you to quick-jump from a room far north to the south by typing in a room code or something? Just a thought, cause the larger the area, the more difficult it will be to play-test all possibilities.

Meadow: Hmm... I guess I thought that you could look at the meadow, get a description, then the option Yes/No to pick a flower.

Glasses? Perhaps a bigger monitor would be more helpful. :lol

When I test the locations I edit the starting script and I add a LoadLocation command which will load the location I want immediatly without having to walk there. Of course you would need the location id for that. Perhaps I can add some central points where you can get and explore from the beginning. I should only remember to remove them when the game is released.

About the meadow, this is what I thought myself. I will add an option when the player LOOKs the meadow.
