Congratulations!!! :D  :)  :p  :lol  ;)
May the Squib be healthy, wealthy, happy and wise...
...and become the greatest Santharian poet and bard exceeding his/hers mother.
For the time being... have a good pregnancy and birth.

At the risk of sounding repetitive, I say again, Congratulations.:D

@Curgann: "exceeding his/her mother"?

Is that even possible?;)  It might be, but it's definitely a great challenge...

Hey, is nobody going to write a poem for the Bard now?!:b

Ok, ok.. Because I love Mommy-Judith SO much, I'm going to try to compose a poem for her. I haven't done this in a while.. ^_^;;

Ok.. let's see..

Joyous times and joyous day
A little Squib is on the way!
Let sounds of happiness resound:
Our bard’s tummy’s become so round! ^_^

Each day growing, this bundle of joy
Into a beautiful girl or a precious boy,
Who’ll grow strong and happy and wise
With a bardic twinkle in their eyes.

Can you believe- a beloved child
With a smile sweet and mild,
Born to a mother so lovely and fair
Who will no doubt give the utmost care!

Soon we’ll have a fresh sensation
With a new Santharian generation!
And to these boards their writing grace
When we’re too old to run this place. :p

^_^;

Well, congratulations to the Bard. You should read Ray Bradbury's "The Small Assassin," a frightening short story. On second thought, maybe you shouldn't. Either way, its very good.

(pokes her head shyly back around the corner)

Um - hi!

Thank you so much for all the congratulations and best wishes... we (all three) really appreciate it.  It made my morning to read through the thread and see the love and support from my Santharian friends (nothing 'virtual' about those relationships!).

I love the poem, Rayne; thank you!  I'll copy and paste it into my Baby Blog (well, you know how expectant mothers keep cute little scrapbook/diary things?  I'm doing mine all on the computer - pictures scanned in, entries typed up, hyperlinks to useful sites...)

(eyes her Ray Bradbury anthology, wondering if she should look that story up or not...)  I am just starting my second trimester, which is the prime one for feeling healthy and energetic and optimistic - not that I wasn't before - so perhaps I'll dare...

And in other news - yet another addition to the family - we adopted a little (8 weeks) grey (like Thai silk) female (because Bry wanted a girl) kitten (completely adorable)!  We've named her Diao Chan (sorry, checked the spelling and changed it, Greybark!) , and if anyone can tell me the origin of the name accurately, I'll write a poem or entry of your choice just for him/her! :D

(beams and goes back to work)

Congrats, my Bard...!
