Well, I have been getting this idea...of a series of connect islands floating in the skies of a realm reached through the Ethrenal Void, the Isles of the Ancients(I`m not releasing info on this idea til I`m done) If you`re interested in seeing the sketch just say so

Now that's indeed funny: I had similar ideas sometime and I planned to integrate it on Book II or III of the Avaesthoría. However, that was just an idea and I have nothing elaborated in this context. Just go on with it, Kharda. It would be interesting to hear more details...

Well....OK, I`ll let some of the Ancients ideas leak out. just enough so I can get the Isles description in full. The Ancients are seven beings created long ago to guard the Isles of the Ancients, a realm floating in it`s own plain of existance, only reachable through the Ethernal Void. Seven were created, but only 3 of them made it through the passage of the void alive. The ones that survived.....Rahl, Kazad, and Druin buried the others on the isles. They began construction of the Halls of Ancients, and then constructed a tower over the other bodies, to protect them. Rahl begin searching the rest of the Isles, before they had gotten there, the inhabitants had been killed. And So he gave birth to a new Race, the Rhyshan...(Actually position later, I cant find the map !!><!!)

Nice concept with interesting ideas, however, there are still unanswered questions, e.g. why didn't four of the Ancients make it through the Etherial Void? Who created them? What exactly are they guarding? To "guard the Isles of the Ancients" is not very precise cause this would only mean that they are guarding their own isles - the isles should have a major importantance for the complete world somehow. And who are these inhabitants you speak of? From where did they come, what was their purpose? And why did they die?

Questions, questions, questions...

and why did they go to this floating island world, rather than the many others they could have gotten to through the etherial void?

The Ancients that died were killed by a shadow, something they could not see, it snuck up on the from behind and killed the four, the other three tried to kill it, but they couldn`t, so they grabbed the others(not knowing they were dead), and ran. They were not created, they were just, "there" at that beginning. They are guarding the Isles because they are linked with the main world by magic, if they are destroyed, the link will be broken, and the real world will be destroyed as well. They were High Elves, the former guardians of the Isles, they were killed by the same creature that attacked the Ancients, the creature was sent by Coôr(or what ever, I dont know the symbol thingies on the keyboard by heart) to destroy the Isles guardians so he could attack the Isle.

Sounds good. Could be integrated in a larger mythological story at the beginning of the "Mène'téka" (the mythological stories), following the "Cárpa'dosía" (the myths of the creation of the world). More details would be welcomed. The more elaborated the better.

About that Rhyshan picture.. I just rea this entire thread, and had a feeling they're not entirely.. materialised yet (if you know what I mean). So I think it's best if I wait until there's a description of them in the race section, and try to draw them then. Beacause even the thing WHERE their habitat is, is important (like for the background).
Also, it's nice there're some new beasts coming up (from Mikael).. just a thought - are all those fabolus beasts integrated somwhere in the other stories? Like some character (who's entry is in ppl section) was ever eaten by some beast, or at least ever came in contact with them, or some other story where those beasts ever play a role in? It would be marvellous if, when reading a story, you would read about some animal/person/god, and then just go to the compendium to read a more detailed description/look at a picture of it! I mean - there should be more connections in all this, right? That's what makes the story seem more real and interesting. Anyway.. I still have to do that wind goddess with the baby...

Yeah, have to agree with Faugar: We need finished descriptions for drawings - makes it much easier for the artist, and the result will be much more accurate then.

Integrating beasts etc.: Yup, I encourage that! Let me note that the Netherbeasts are already contained in Chapter I of the Avaesthoría (german version) - so I will put a picture there. Also the Giant Spider you can see at Mikael's latest update will play a role in the Avaesthoría, Chapter IX. And of course the famous bloodworm: Chapter VIII of the Avaesthoría (unfortunately all in german).

But what are you waiting for, guys! We have cool drawings, so try to use them whereever you can... Thanx for pointing out, Faugar!

Once again I am breaking my silence, I hate to be picky bout the map(either you misread it, or I left a few things out, and If I did, then I apolofize), but the river is supposed to be "Linfalas River"(the one on the east isle and the mountains on the east Isle are supposed to be the 3 spires
