Orcal borders & some more changes

Hi all! Sorry for not showing up lately. I went through the Nybelmar map again and just wondered if The Green Plain is Orcal-controlled? I thought of it like Rome, keeping control over small barbarian tribes (the tribes of the Green Plain), but not being part of the empire itself...

Orcal Calendar entry: In Orcal, they have an own, very special calendar based on years with 160 days and 13 months. The abbrevation "b.O." (before Orcal) indicates the years before Orcals founding of Orcal, and therefore, the abbrevation "a.O." (after Orcal) indicates the years after that. The year 0 in the Orcal Calendar would be called 1189 b.S. by the Santharians.

Names on days, months etc.: The names of the days, weeks and months get their name from important historical events like the Coming of Gaffel, that resulted in the day name "Gafflday".

The system: The Orcal Calendar consists of a year with 260 days divided in 13 months with 2 weeks in each of them. One week is 10 days, and therefore there are 20 days in a month.

Might want to include what they think of the seasons, based on their year.
We do have seasons, right?

The "like Rome"-idea sounds good but it should stay a very unstable control over these tribes more the way that their outposts/patrols keep everything under control that is within their range but many tribes disobey their orders as soon as there're no troops to force them...

The calendar thing sounds somewhat weird. Perhaps can you explain it further? What are these years then based on?

Ummm... *thinks hard* Aha! The years are based on how much or little the holy artfact of Yelt's Longsword that belonged to the early descendant of Orcal named yelt Longsword. The calendar was invented when he died.

Years and Seasons.

I think we had it worked out so the plane of the world precesses (wobbles) around in a circle, thus causing seasons...or was it that the Injera was closer at some times than others?
