Do we have anything related to/similar to fairies? Not like the older legends of the faerie people/small people. More like the small ones with wings. It might be an interesting idea though it may be too typical to fantasy. Then again, we have elves. Just a thought.

The most important thing about interaction and communication between others is hearing what isn't being said...

Hmmm... I guess Stormcrow wanted to introduce some pixies somewhere near the Etherial Void, but so far this is still quite fragmentary. However, fairies sure would have a place in Santharian fairy-tales (HA!, I've just realized that there IS a connection between fairies and fairy-tales *grin*). Writing such small fairy-tales would also be possible and a nice addition to the site.

This is just tooooooo tempting an idea.

Find some cool place where the junction of the ley lines, magnetic forces, or Weaver's strands create a triangle.  And it has to be a triangle, because three is the number of Eyasha, right?  (grin) Or pick a pentagon, for Coor, etc.  Sailors' tales and mages' books might refer to it in grim whispers.... a place where things vanish mysteriously....

Aha!  Finally we have another explanation for disaster other than "Dala's ducks ate it!"

And don't forget the name:  All kinds of potential there!

(just because it looooooks better, that's why!)

What purpose would these fey folk serve in Santharia?  Are they actually an intelligent race, or more like smart 'animals', say dolphins?  Enough brainpower to pollinate flowers, feed themselves, reproduce, and even have a simple 'pecking order' like birds?  

Personally, I'd see them as the latter (we already have so many races that need development!) and faeries don't really DO anything, they are more for decoration!  

Yes?  No?  Flames?  Agreement?  Let's get some further opinions here (grin)

As far as I can remember Stormcrow wanted to put the fairies somewhere at an isle to the west, near the Etherial Void, which would explain why they are so magically talented. We also discussed some sort of melodic (musical) language, but that was quite a while ago. Like the idea though.
