'Teri shakes her head slowly. "I'm not exactly certain. She placed the sword in the ground between the campfire and her beast, a desert creature, and we rode off. Somehow, I assume, the demon must have channeled itself through the fire, and the sword was somehow instrumental in impeding it."

She shrugs, and glances again at Terra.

Terra takes her time to collect and order her thoughts as Kurrun talks to Teri. Teri finishes, and glances to her so she tries to answer what questions she could.

"I don't know a lot about Talia's sword, it was a beautiful piece of work. It had a winged figure that formed its pommel, its outstretched wings forming the pommel guard, I remember this as I found it quite unusual.  I think I remember some form of writing along the blade as well. I found it in a scorched area a ground outside the forest, I guess from what Teri said that is where the demon first appeared. I think... Yes back where we were attacked by the demon... a male elf I believe took it, but after that things become very unclear.

We set out... Sorry, I am not certain how long ago we set out on this quest. A lot has happened since then, and after I struck my head I have bee having trouble keeping track of time. I guess, we spent no more than two days in Strata, then the sailing time from Strata to Chylikis, we arrived earlier in that day, but I don't think we stayed they day, but I can not be sure. We were attacked by a pair of dark clad knights and I guess I struck my head in the fight, them my memory and sense of time is full of gaps, any further events would not offer any reliable reference.

I can tell you a bit more about the man that hired us, though. He wore robes and was bald on the crown of his head. He seemed  kind, and seemed to have a way of great wisdom beyond ones lifetime about him. He had a most peculiar ability to change his form too. The most frightening occurrence I still remember vividly, and just before he went missing, he seemed greatly troubled then as well. It was aboard the ship that we sailed on from Strata. He changed into a Chasm Demon and seemed to come at us as if to attack us only to stop as if a great force of will prevented it. This seemed to happen several times then it turned and smashed its way out of the cabin, and disappeared. We had the whole ship searched an no sign of him or the Chasm Demon. The last intentions we know of him was to urgently get to Milkengrad, but we do not know what business he had there.

As for the Heart, I do not know a lot about it other than it's green and about the size of ones fist I think. It was held by one of the thief guilds in Strata and was in a hidden vault of some sort in the sewers of the city."

Terra took a few more sips of tea trying to recall anything else of consequence, but the urgency of that forgotten thing was only getting worse.

"That is all I can recall on these subjects for now. If there is anything else you wish to know please ask quickly. There is something of some urgency I must see to."

Kurrun

„A strange thing, this shapeshifter of yours. Do you think the human form was his true form?

Do you have any idea, why you were attacked? And who these black clad attackers were? Humans or elves? Was somebody with you, who might have known more? Or were you alone?“

Terra lets out a soft bearly noticable sigh at having yet more questions to answer, and takes a sip of tea before looking intently at the tables surface again as if it would yeild the answers. Searching her memory Terra tries to find any thing conclusive to say if the human form Capher presented was his natural form or simply one he was comforatable presenting to others. This very question had been on her mind for time as well,  but could not remember exactly when it arose.

Then there was the question about the fight. Terra's memory of the times around this was unreliable at best, and she struggled to scrap together what she could remember. The effort of trying to remember these thing were making her head ache, even if it did not show outwardly.

Final after long moments Terra once again met Kurrun's gaze, and resolved to speak of what little she could put together.

"I don't know anything really about shapeshifters, though I can only assume the human form he presents is either his natural for or that which he is most comfortable in presenting to others."

Terra sighs again out of fustration this time it was free from her restraint.

"As for the fight, I am sot sure about a lot of things, much of what happend is still in a hase. Koldar a companion traveling with us at the time, and I were shoping to replace some of our weapons. I think he went off after the dark clad knights, I can't remember why. There was some talk about the artifact, or maybe events around it I am not sure. I just remember the talking and bits an pieces of the context, not any of what was said. We faught, and I don't really remember anything much from then on, just frafmented blured images, and confusion."

Terra finishes the last sip of tea and places the cup on the table.

"I would like not to have to answer any more questions just now. In time more may come back to me but for now I have said all I can, and to push farther will do none of us any good."

KURRUN

„Well, thank you for your patience.  If you remember more, please come back at any time to tell me or one of the present persons.

For now I want to ask you, what you would like to do. Your companion is for some time not able to move or travel. You are of course welcome, till she is well again, but that may take some time. Do you have any plans for the near future?“

When Kurrun askes what she had planned she has to think little on that. Her very being is pulling her back toward where she had found Talia's sword, and apparently where the demon had first appeared. Terra's head almost feels like its splitting open, though not bearing on her appearance, it put her past the point of plesentries. Terra speaks very directly in her cool tone.

"I wish to journy back to where I found Talia's sword, where the demon first appeared. I do not know why but I have a dreadful feeling I have forgotten something important to do with that place, be it and object or event, I do not know. All I know is I am draw there to find out."

Kurrun nods at Terra's answer, noting that she is out of sorts, and replies.

"Very well, perhaps Lieofin should go with you."

Terra's reply to the offer is short and direct.

"If he is ready when we are. I will not delay for him."

Kurrun gives another nod of acknowladgement before dismissing them.

"I understand. You may go and make your preparations for your journey. Lieofin will join you soon enough."

With Kurruns dismissal Terra stands and turns to Teri.

"Will you help guide me to where the demon first appeared? I dare not trust my own memory, nor can I navigate these woods on my own."

'Teri hesitates only for an instant before nodding. It is really the only response she can come up with.

In reality, she knows nothing of the Quallian. All her days were spent in the Zeiphyr, and though they may be considered sister forests, with tribes of elves occupying each that are the most closely related in all of known Santharia, still she does not feel at home among these trees, for primarily two reasons. The first, naturally, is that Garrek reigns here as well as there, the second being that most of her days were spent in the large Driel mansion.

With Teri's nod, they both left the company of the high circle and went back to the temple to prepare their things for the journy back to the spot where Terra had found Talias sword, and where Talia and Teri had first encounted the demon. After a short discussion among the high circle Lieofin to left to make his preparations, doing so with ahist fearing that his charges may indeed leave without him, and that the demon may come after them again.

Leaving the temple Terra is suprised to find Lieofin waiting with Coore and two other horses. They seem all packed and ready for the trip. As Terra approaches Coore pulled his reigns form Lieofin's hand but stands eagerly awaiting Terra. As Terra prepares to lift herself into the saddle Lieofin spoke.

"Your horse has a strong spirit, and is fiercely loyal to you. He is an inteligent animal indeed."

Terras eyes meet Lieofin's as she watches him over Coore's back for a moment before replying.

"I trust no one tried to ride him. I am in no mood t appologize for some one elses foolish actions."

As serious as Terra and the situation around her and her companions is Lieofin can not help a short chuckle before he responds.

"No, anyone around your splended animal for a short time can tell that it would be more trouble than its worth. He was just difficault is all."

Terra takes to the saddle and looks to Lieofin and Teri as they do the same. When all are ready Lieofin takes the lead, Teri and Terra following closely behind, then Lieofin turns to Terra.

"Where exactly is this place you wished to go?"

Terra does not have an answer for the question, she honestly can not remember anything after a point in the battle at the clearing with any clarity to yeild any answer to where she is now.

"I honestly do not know where we are, so I do not know which way to go myselt. It was somewhere east of the river that flows near Chylikis. I am not sure but I think its after the road from Chylikis crosses the river."

Terra looks to Teri for any details she may be able to add to guide them.

'Teri notices Terra's glance, but it is rather uncomfortable to her. Granted, she traveled on this path, and knows it well, but it seems as though Terra should be able to find the way.

Terra notices Teri's discomfort at being looked toward to fill in any blanks that may be of importance, and then proceeds to explain.

"If I miss out anything important, I would like you to speak up.

There are still many parts of my memory that are fuzzy, and beyond my ablity to recall in any useful detail. Like the trip from the clearing where we fought that demon to the temple were I rested. I am only vaguely aware of being in motion, as if it were a dream that I have awoken from, but have no recallection of what direction we traveled or for how long. To make things worse I have never been in such a deep forest, everything seems the same to me, no tree different from any other.

To be honest, I do not think I could navigate such a deep forest on my own, even if I were fully well."

Now that was something that made sense. Trouble navigating a forest. Granted, it helped to know the forest, and this is the closest thing to the Zeiphyr without actually being 'Teri's former home. She simply smiles and nods in response. The path may be obvious to her, but her human friend will have problems noticing it. This, then, is the real purpose she is here; as a kind of an interpreter into the ways of the forest.

Her thoughts wander a bit as they travel, 'Teri motioning to the path whenever they begin to stray. Granted, she grew up under a roof, uncommon for an elf, and in large gilt halls were her childhood days spent, but the trees have always been a thing of particular enjoyment for her. That, and rain, and water in general, and moss, and most plant life, as she thinks about it; animals, too. Everything about the forest, she decided, she loved, and at this moment, she is happy. Nothing is here to make her uncomfortable, and she has forgotten, nearly, that there is another traveler with her and the red-haired woman, Terra.

The now stony path leads slowly down, down in a grey-red realm of no defined features. Only now and then, reddish flames coming out of nowhere can be seen, but they don‘t make the darkness lighter. Occasionally, the woman with no name stops, rarely she looks back, as if she has heard someone calling her. But then she goes on, step by step, slowly, but continuously.

*OOC* Sorry Talia, you Purple is a little better, but still a bit hard to see. Maybe just use white and italics or bold or somthing. :|  */OOC*

As they ride on, Tarra notices Teri has grown distant, just taking in the forest. It occurse to Tarra that Teri may not be as acustomed to the forest as she had at first assumed, but neither Teri or Lieofin seemed to be reacting to any danger, and Lieofin seemed focused and vigilent since leaving the city so Terra thought to leave Teri to taking in the sights.

Mid-evening sets apon the three as they travel through the forest, and Lieofin slows his mount so that he can more easily speak to them.

"I know of a clearing up ahead where we can camp for the night."

As Lieofin looks back he can see the hints of weeriness in th proud warriors posture, and continued.

"You need your rest yet Lady Artemos, and the place where the road crosses the river is more than a days ride from our border. I would suspect the place you wish to go will yet be a days ride if not more from here. We will leave at first light and with you well rested we can push on into the night if you feel we must."

Terra is about to object to Lieofin suggesting they stop so early, but  as he continues she decides to follow his suggestion. She knows her full energy has not fully returned and continuing to push herself without suffisiant rest would only continue to errode her strength. Instead she responds with a simple question.

"How far are we form the border?"

Lieofin answeres with equal simplicity.

"If we leave as first light we should be out of the forest by the end of sunrise if we ride at a steady pace."

Terra simply nods as they enter the clearing Lieofin spoke of.

Lieofin being first to enter the mossy green clearing, takes a quick scan of their suroundings, then droped from his saddle.

"We will make camp here for the night. We will be safer in the shealter of the Quallian. Lady Terra, you should just rest yourself, Teri and I can look after setting up camp."

Lieofin turns to Teri.

"If that is alright with you."

Terra dismounts as well, but dispite her weerliness was not yet ready to sleep, but at Lieofins insistance she found a comfortable spot on the mossy ground and kneels, placing her MoonBlade before her in a well practiced manner. Terra though fearing her mind may be too weak from her injury began focussing inward looking for answers she could not find while she was still concerned with the world without.

Within her mind a fog lay over the land formed of her experiances memories, and those elements that make her who she is, in places it was thick in others it is thin. Terra makes her may causiosly through the land of her inner sight, of her mind, looking for that forgotten thing that draws her toward where she found Talia's sword. Terra reaches a place where she sees a faint vistion of a woman, Talia, and a sword stuck in the ground in the thick nearly impassable fog, and hears flute music. She tries to move closer to see it clearer, to usnderstand what she was seeing within herself, but the fog grew thicker and the vision was lost in the haze. Terra knew that the vision was some garbled memory of Talia, but what it ment she could not understand, part of it had to do with where she found the sword through, perhaps all of it, but she could not see it clearly enough to understand.

'Teri simply nods an affirmative, and removes her own pack, setting it ever-so-carefully on the ground near the center of the camp. Many of the things she carries with her are not simply survival items, and many of them, such as her precious violin, can be destroyed easily. She glances around at the group before stepping a little ways away and looks to Lieofin for further direction.

Lieofin guides Teri as they set up camp, it was a simple camp, a small stone surrounded would provide some worth when the night grew cool. As the camp nears completion Lieofin notices that Terra had not moved in some time in any way, far longer than is normal for anyone even the most patient elf to be perfectly still. An expression of worry showing his age and wisdom spread across his face as he approached Terra, he observed her gaze was distant and seemed disconected from the world, and her beathing being very shallow but steady. If it were not for his experiances Lieofin is pretty sure that Terra is not lost in thought as ones breathing does not normally become as shallow as hers, it seemes even stanger that she could have fallen asleep in such a position and with her eyes open none the less.

"Are you alright Lady Artemos?"

Lieofin waits some moments for a reply, but Terra does not seem to repond or move at all adding to Leiofins worry. Perhaps all that has happened has gotten to her, Leiofin thinks as he comes beside her and places a hand on her shoulder hoping it will at least gain some acknoladgement.

"Are you alright?"

For some moments there is not even an acknowlagement to his presence then Terra finally seemed to com back to the world. Leiofins worry eases, but an edge remains as he wonders what had happened.

While carefully trying to search her mind for some undertanding Terra hears a faint voice, but does not recognize it and is confused if it comes from within or without. Some moments later she faintly feel a hand on her shoulder and again hears the voice though it now reaches her with the strength that Terra can tell its that of a male elf, it was definately not within. Fearing she had gone to deep to come back by her normal means, Terra focuses on the sensation of the hand on her shoulder and uses it to guide her sences back out towards the world.

Terra's gaze becomes less distant and disconected from the world, then she looks towards the hand on her shoulder and Leiofin a little disoriented. She notes the expression of worry on his face, and answers the obvious question, that she was not aware he had asked of her twice, in her usual smooth, level tone.

"I am alright. I was just meditating, trying to find some answers."
